Thirdly there is the variable of my own taste and values. With that said, this is fun Goodwill to shop. They seem to have oddly unique items and prices are decent. I think they could work a little harder at blocking the merchandise, but maybe I arrived after a busy session.

Most recently my Mom and I dropped by on a Sunday afternoon to do a little shopping. The employee Julia was so kind and even stayed after the shop closed to allow us to browse a bit more! She showed us a table of designer denim that one customer consigned including many pairs of Joe's jeans, Paige and other big name brands...at excellent prices! She also explained that they had a selection of very gently used formal gowns in the back. There is a nice assortment of jewelry and household decorative items for sale, as well. Something for everyone! I found a nice cardigan sweater for $18 that looked brand new, as well as some local honey and salsa. Love the RB!!

More than makes up for the higher prices - not exorbitant prices mind you, think along the lines of name brand jeans for $16-$20 - with the selection alone. I love Goodwill, I go all the time, but that's because I have the time to go multiple times a week to sort through each and every single row of clothes for the 2-3 gems. Joys of unemployment! Almost every time I go here, I find something I love, only once I didn't (and even at that - found something for my sister). The clerk who's usually there (name has slipped my mind sadly) has also worked in resale of clothing for a while and is very knowledgeable about fashion trends! They won't BS you, either, I said every time I come in I'm looking for turtlenecks on the more masculine size and they straight up told me it's very unlikely I'll find a lot of those because guys don't really wear turtlenecks. I still look because I can pull off women's turtlenecks, but I loved the honesty. Tells me I can ask if something might look ugly on me and I will get an honest answer, which means I can shop alone!
