Many places are "family owned and operated" but some feel like they are owned by the "Mason Family"…read morethey way they murder you with high prices and the lack of care of how they treat their customers. The employees at Matteo Family Kitchens are extremely helpful and patient, my wife primarily deals with Steave Matteo and no matter how many times she calls, texts or emails him, he always is pleasant when he responds. Matteos has remodeled our Kitchen, Master Bathroom and now we are getting our upstairs hallway bathroom remodeled. They are busy so you have to expect a wait for when your job will be scheduled but I rather have a company like Matteos that does the job professionally and high quality than a company that works fast but less quality.

However, management coordination, communications, cabinet ordering, and scheduling is as unprofessional as it gets. The Matteo's work crews were extremely slow, sometimes even argumentative, very lazy, and they worked only half days most of the time. Some mistakes were made that that were fixed, and some we ended up having to live with. But most importantly we were left tied up for 5 months without a functional master bathroom. We were told the project would take about 3 weeks. Being frustrated, and disappointed, we asked, if there would be any compensation. But, I was told that "things happen", "our contact was based on competition not time". "And just enjoy your new bathroom" A horrible overall experience! If you are planning a project in your home. I definitely would not recommend Matteo Family Kitchens and Flooring Inc.

He claimed to have completed 3 different times and each time, we came down to review and found multiple walls and on two of the occasions full rooms not touched. He claimed to have painted 2 coats everywhere and completed all patch work, but there are still nail pops everywhere, drywall seams that were not repaired (which was the primary scope of his work) and continues to demand final payment with out completing the work. He is full of excuses, claimed to want to work 2 shifts to finish the job in 1-2 weeks, but it has all been a very disappointing experience. Now he is claiming the job was a 4 week job which is ridiculous for an interior paint job to begin with, and blames his workers for not doing the job correctly, yet he was rarely on site himself and admittedly hires untrained and unqualified people. Strongly recommend finding someone else if you want the job done at all, let alone properly
