First of all, this used to be my favorite Vitamin Shoppe store to get my supplements. After today,…read morethat's no longer the case. I can no longer subject myself to the treatment I've received at this store, as of late. The last straw was when I ordered some items online using a promo code that was advertised in the app. I received a notification that all of my items were ready for pickup and I proceeded to the store to retrieve them. Upon arriving at the store, I was told that one of the items were unavailable, due to a specific flavor being sold out, but there were other flavors available to exchange for it. I was totally fine with that so I found the replacement flavor and walked it to the counter. While in the store talking to the original associate, another associate walked in and settled himself in behind the counter. I mentioned to that associate that I had a conversation with the first associate about exchanging the unavailable item for the one I brought to the counter. He told me that I would have to pay full price for this item and that it couldn't be swapped out for inventory reasons. I understood that but that's not what the original associate mentioned in our previous conversation. I asked the original associate for clarity on what he mentioned to me and that's when the associate behind the counter begins to say that I'm being rude and confrontational. Never have I ever gotten out of line with anyone at that store! In fact, I used to talk at length to the previous employees. All I was trying to do was get the item for the same price I was quoted when I bought the item online but I was called rude for that. Being in a customer service job most certainly can be frustrating but if a customer is seeking to understand, you provide that clarity in a respectful way. This could have all been avoided with them just swapping out the product for the same price I paid for it originally. Instead, the situation escalated to an unnecessary point and the attitude on this guy was unacceptable. I'll be shopping on Amazon from here on out. The prices are better anyway!

This place was so weird…read more The guy at the register seemed like, hungover or something, and it just... took him a while... I hope he wasn't having a mini stroke. The item I purchased rang up at a higher price than what it said on the shelf. Never a good sign. Everything was really expensive, except for a few things on sale - like, I managed to find a single-serve yogurt on sale for $2.50 instead of $4.59. They have some bulk herbs and teas, but the selection is very, very limited. They have a couple water dispensers in back which is nice, but there's no price listed anywhere. I really want this kind of place to survive..... but it's just so pricey; and then the service wasn't great either.

You just need to see it for yourself. Plants are everywhere, color explosion, something new to see everywhere. Normally that kind of space would over stimulate but this was just....nice. I think the soft lighting and the set up just lends to a thoughtful, comfortable and unique experience. If I lived in the neighborhood I'd be there often but she does make up batches of kava that are easily prepped at home. Let's be honest kava taste like dirt, but that's not why it's gaining notice. For many it's game changer but here they offer some pretty tasty ways to have it. Parking can be rough but not impossible. With a little patient searching a spot can be found. A weekend visit had us about a block walk away, not bad. I suspect day time hours might even have a street spot or two open in front. The 39th street community is a pretty sweet one with so much to offer. Worth the visit for sure.

I started my journey with Spirit of Health in May 2026 after not being able to get answers or help…read morefrom the healthcare system. Doctors did a lot of testing and guessing and not giving me answers. I couldn't believe how thorough the original testing was at SOH, and how much time Dr. Vaughn spent with me going over the results and answering all my questions (2.5 hours in one session alone). Here's a bit of my journey: * My PCP thought my issue was thyroid; Dr. Vaughn found Lyme Disease instead. After going through the SOH Lyme protocol, I have no more symptoms! * The Hepatologist said there nothing could be done about my liver--they would just do a scan every six months and wait for it to turn into cancer. After 2 months of being on treatment with SOH, 4/5 liver markers showed improvement! * My cholesterol went from 200 to 174 after 2 months. * My A1C went from 6.5 to 6.2 in 2 months. But the best thing is that I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER! I have energy that I haven't had in months. My mind is clearer, more focused. I still have a ways to go, but if the first few months are any indication, I'm on the road to renewing my health! I can't say enough good things about the staff and care at SOH. It is worth every penny!! If doctors are just guessing and having you try medicines with horrible side effects, I highly recommend Dr. Vaughn. You WILL find answers!
