The water park is really lackluster, no one uses it. The gazebo is regularly occupied in the morning by Asian grannies doing tai chi. A sight to behold. The south has a baseball field, a larger playground, a skatepark, a basketball court, two more tennis courts, and another soccer field. This half is often bustling with activity, especially in the summer. The place looks right proper and is well-maintained by the staff. The pond is a nice touch that is surrounded by the verdant fields. If you haven't come to this place for a little walk, give it a try. Just look out for the geese.

As to why it is called "Red Park", the only thing I can think of is that they hold the annual Strawberry Festival there, during the Canada Day long weekend. I was at that festival in 2022. The neighbouring streets were closed each time I've been there, but I've only been there twice, so don't take my work for it. There is no free WiFi. It is not wheelchair accessible. But that doesn't mean you can't have a great time, its the people you're with that makes anything fun!

This family friendly green space sits between two condo buildings and is a great place for nearby residents to stroll with fido or hang out with kids. One can access the park on foot from Highway 7 to the north. If you're driving to the park, free 2 hour parking can be found along Rougeside Promenade. The park has newly installed playground equipment, benches and covered picnic tables. Looking forward to spending time here once the park is fully open to the public.

There's parking space for about two dozen cars and a wonderful children's playground just off Brimley Road. Beyond that, one can take a long walk through a swath of parkland with a few benches to stop and soak in the surroundings. Free (funded by general taxpayers). Clean. Tranquil. A brief escape from the realities of daily life for most, including myself.

It does get very busy on summer weekends though so aim to arrive early (ie before 12 pm ideally) to score a spot in one of the two parking lots. There is usually also an ice cream truck there on the weekends which is just sweet. As for tables, there are some picnic tables here and there, and some tables by the washrooms. The washrooms are okay. I think I only ever used them once and they didn't scare me off but it is a public park bathroom so nothing fancy but not super scary either (aka it's useable) :D
