OK so this is my first time I've reviewed a cemetery on yelp. So here we go…read more First off the cemetery is absolutely huge-mongo-normous!!! Can drive around the place for 20-30 minutes and not see it all. Many people walk and jog in this cemetery and use it as a park. There's a creek and the trees are beautiful. You can drive underneath US Route 150 and escape into Peoria Heights from the City of Peoria! This place has a long and beautiful history. It fell into mismanagement a decade or so ago, but today volunteers and the owners have fixed it up.

STAY AWAY! This cemetery is managed by government…read moreappointed board who aren't "hands on" in the day to day operations. The staff is unfriendly and unhelpful (the grounds guys try hard to do a good job). We had problems, and were eventually directed to talk with the head of the board, Bob Manning - he was rude, condecending and a total ass when we pointed out what he was saying was completely wrong...and we had proof!! Nice!! (Obvious he has no clue...) Not in a million years would I place any of my loved ones at this place - the staff and board have no idea how a cemetery should be run...who do you think that will hurt in the long run? Not the volunteer board members who come and go, but you and your family and the next generations, should you gamble on going anywhere near this place. You've been warned.
