Edwin came highly recommended to me. He was very nice and his estimate was very fair. However, the…read morequality of the job done was extremely poor. Edwin was supposed to complete the job on a Wednesday. He asked if he could reschedule, which was fine with me, and we agreed on that Saturday. Saturday came and went with no communication, even though I texted him. On Sunday, he apologized and rescheduled me for the following Wednesday. I am flexible and I was okay with the changes. He showed up around 9:30am with another worker. The job included priming and painting two small areas on the kitchen ceiling, caulking and filling about 10 cracks in the stucco of the exterior of my home, and painting the front side of two exterior doors. The job took nine hours on Saturday and an additional 4 hours on Sunday. There were multiple issues with the job done by Edwin's workers (not him). The main issue is that they didn't properly prep the home for work. When they "finished," there was paint splatter all over my kitchen stove, my toaster oven, the floors, and caulk on my carpet. The tape they used also tore off the adhesive of the weather stripping on my front door. After completion, they had to re-sand and fill scrapes on the doors, which were supposed to be done in the first place. There were also paint drips thay needed to be sanded and repainted. There was caulk over my pavers that I was told wasn't caulk before it was finally cleaned properly. There was also a language barrier so I had to text Edwin the issues and he had to call the workers to explain. I was told to "be patient." While I can't speak for the quality of work Edwin himself does (because he didn't personally do the work), I was disappointed overall. When I expressed such, Edwin told me he wished me the best of luck in whatever company I use next and sent me the total bill (which is what was agreed upon). After I paid, he asked what he could have done better and asked me not to leave a negative review. My review isn't negative, it's honest.

Jimmy Cara is a first rate businessman and along with his crew that worked on my home, Manuel and Nari, they did a fantastic job. Everyone that sees our walls are very impressed with the finish. There are so many nightmare stories right now about scam contractors and half assed workers that take advantage of homeowners. When I called Cara PVD and asked about getting my walls textured and painted, Jimmy told me he was working on a home not far from me. He told me to drive over and look at the work he was doing. It looked spectacular! I hired him right away, without looking any further. These guys work very fast and tape and mask everything off perfectly. Jimmy found some rough spots on my old walls and spackled and sanded over them. He kept sanding and sanding. I said, "Jimmy, that is fine..". He said, "No! It must be perfect"! I wish I could give them 10 STARS!

We don't offer that service and have always relied on the customer trying to find their own painter until we found Jon. Not only was I able to refer him directly to my own customers, but I also work with a large interior closet design company that needed the same services, including demo and patch work. I got nothing but amazing feedback for Jon's professionalism, fair prices, and workmanship. I would have my customers actually call me back to thank me for the referral, and in turn, I got repeat customers and word of mouth referrals for additional work. In our industry, it's so hard to find reliable and honest contractors that actually do what they say they will do and not only that but actually show up and show up on time. I'd give more that 5 stars if I could.

Since I did want some help in selecting colors, he offered his own services as well as his office staff who were a delight to work with and very responsive to my emails and texts. As far as price, John managed to beat most of the other quotes I got from other companies for the same job and materials. In the end I chose him because of his professionalism, price, accessibility, and guarantees of satisfaction. We scheduled a time to start the job, and his guys were there on day one as scheduled to pressure wash the home and begin the meticulous prep work throughout the house. The prepping, repairs, priming, and painting were done with care and attention to detail.
