I have never been more disappointed with a chiropractic office than I was with this one. I was hoping to get some relief on my first visit, only to be told that they would not do anything until they had the x-rays developed and we had a chance to go over a treatment plan. After I paid the copay for the visit, I scheduled an appointment for the next day. On the second day, I was put into an office where I got to watch a movie about their care plan. When the doctor came in, he looked at the x-rays, told me I had scoliosis (which has nothing to do with the pain) and went over a normal treatment plan. He told me that a person would come in and tell me about my treatment plan and left. About 10 minutes later, I was told that the person was having problems with her leg and that I should go to the front desk. When I got there, she showed me my "treatment plan," and asked me to sign it. I signed it and handed it back to her. At this point, she started to go over a payment plan with me and told me that I needed to make a choice about how I wanted to pay for several months of treatment. Then I really looked at "the plan." When I told her that the doctor did not go over it with me, she got rude and pretty much called me a liar. Finally she asked if I wanted to talk to the doctor again. Yes, I did. He walked into the room and I told that he did not go over the paper that she showed me, he got defensive and assured me that he did. Then I brought up specifics that we did not discuss. At this point he started to defend himself saying that he just missed "that line" and the other part was optional. He went on to say that he usually writes the treatment plans but the other doctor did this one. Apparently, this makes a difference, although I do not understand why unless he has poor eyesight. When I asked about paying by the visit, he pretty much showed me the door and told me that I would probably be happier at another office. I am usually pretty easy going, but this whole experience left me feeling like I was almost the victim of a scam artist. They did not give me a copy of the potential bill, but it was well over $700 with the optional items included. As I am writing this, I realize that I am writing it for both of us. I am writing for my closure and for you, so you can go to this office with open eyes. Good luck with your decision.

He came back 5 minutes later and went to another room to work on a patient. These sessions now take about 10 minutes each so if I stayed for my appointment which would then have begun at about 850 am it would have screwed up my entire day. I walked out and won't be returning. Doctors think they can get away with over booking and ignoring people whom also are very busy. Real doctors can get away with that because people go to them when they are ill and need help. Chiropractors don't have that luxury, if they can't stick to a schedule then maybe they shouldn't be in business.

I have had lower back pain for years and after the treatments from my uncle I thought I would just have to live with it for the rest of my life. Then I met Dr. Owens, I was reluctant to go but my pain was so severe I could barely get out of bed. He started with a very thorough examination and then began treatment, before I left the office that day he gave me a series of stretches to do and instructions on how to do them. ( he actually had me do them in front of him to make sure they were being done properly as to not overstretch and hurt myself even more). I can honestly say I have never felt better, I would recommend him to anyone and when talking to him you can sense that he has a genuine care for his patients to get better.
