This generous 1 start is only because I can't leave ZERO stars. My dad suffers from Alzheimer's and after an appt, with his neurologist, he told me to follow up with Dr. Abbasi who is his PCP though we prefer to see Erin the PA. Before the appt, he had a fall and we had to rush him to the ER and again told him to follow up with Dr. Abbasi to get a urine sample b/c they couldn't. So, on Friday Simcare got us in to see Dr. Abbasi. To say I was upset would be an understatement I was in the room with tears just flowing out of my eyes. I could hear her complain at the nurse's station saying she thought she had told me to put him in a home. Why hadn't I done that? I could hearsay she didn't understand why we were there b/c there was nothing she could do. I could hear her complain in my room where I'm sure other patients could hear because I can hear everything that goes on in other appointments and at the nurse's station due to thin walls. She violated HIPPA, she violated my dad. They asked my dad to leave a urine sample, but he was struggling to do so and could only leave a few drops. I gave her all the papers from the hospital and told her what his neurologist said which they already had access to b/c they are affiliated with Methodist, and she still questioned me as to why I was there. She asked me who his neurologist and urologist were and again I gave her that information. The purpose of the office visit was to get a urine sample and to help figure out nutrition b/c he keeps hiding his food and is losing weight. She turned the visit into me sending him to a home. She questioned whether his neurologist gave us a social worker and asked why we hadn't put him in a home yet. Then she actually had the nerve to tell me "Well maybe you will get lucky, and a bed opens up for him so you can put him in a home." To which I said I cannot afford to put him in a home yet and told her what the social worker had relayed to me about the process. She told me that there was nothing she could do to help with his nutrition. She told me that I have to put him on a schedule and put his meals in color boxes in the fridge, so he knows which meals are for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Which doesn't make sense b/c he has Alzheimer's and how was he supposed to remember that. She was rushing me the whole visit and made it very clear that she was not happy that she was seeing us. She NEVER did a physical exam on him. They told me his blood pressure was high and would recheck it before we left and never did. She also gave me a lab slip so he could go to a lab to get his urine checked EVEN though they have a lab in the office and never asked him again before we left if he could leave a sample. When my brother called up there to speak with Dr. Abbasi she never returned his call but was told by the girl who answered the phone that they did do a urine sample. I told him she lied to him bc his urine sample was only 2-3 drops which they said was not enough and I heard them also say that at the nurse's station that they needed a lot more. So not only did Dr. Abbasi not want to take care of my dad, but she lied to my brother I even sent him a picture of the lab slip she sent us home with. My original appt was with Erin and I should've kept it because she is the only provider there who cares about her patients Dr. Tahir and Dr. Abbasi do not. The lady who was shadowing Dr. Abbasi was never introduced to us, but she was very pleasant and the M.A who took my dad's vitals was nice, but the rest of the visit was horrible. I will be letting his neurologist and urologist know exactly what happened. The manager did not even care enough to call us back. Don't go to this office they will violate your HIPAA rights and not even care, they don't even try to whisper to hide that they are talking about you they will do it right in the open. read more
