Amazing office staff and professional providers! Highly recommended! I would bring my friends and…read morefamily.

Early on, my husband was advised to get a deep cleaning that cost around $600 out of pocket even with insurance. After that, he was placed on a 3-month deep cleaning schedule at $400 per visit, which we trusted at the time. Because of that trust, I even upgraded our insurance to a top-tier plan. During my own visits, I was consistently told my teeth were in excellent condition--multiple staff members commented on how clean and healthy they looked, even though I had gone two years without dental care prior. However, my experience took a concerning turn. At one visit, I had minor gum irritation from eating hard food the night before. Suddenly, I was told I had gum disease and would need a deep cleaning at my next appointment. The cleaning that day felt rushed and incomplete, which I found unusual. At my following visit, I had scheduled a regular cleaning instead of a deep cleaning. The dentist reacted with visible frustration and pressured me to proceed with the more expensive treatment. I was told that if I did not get a deep cleaning, it could jeopardize their professional licenses. As someone in the medical field holding multiple licenses, I found this statement extremely inappropriate and misleading. Patients have the right to decline treatment, and using fear as a tactic is unacceptable. I ultimately agreed to a regular cleaning but was required to sign a liability waiver. The hygienist appeared visibly nervous throughout the procedure, although she did perform a thorough cleaning. What is most concerning is that after all of this, I left the appointment without even being clearly informed whether or not I had a cavity--something that should be a basic part of any dental visit. The focus seemed to be entirely on pushing an expensive procedure rather than providing complete, patient-centered care. Dr. Patel was to focus on pressuring me about a deep cleaning, then evaluating me for cavities. Also, be aware that while they advertise a $59 cleaning, X-ray, and exam, my experience suggests that this is often used as a way to upsell more expensive procedures--even if you have top-tier insurance. This experience raised serious concerns for me about consistency in diagnosis, pressure for costly treatments, and the use of fear-based communication. I can no longer confidently trust the recommendations from this office. I would strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before agreeing to major or repeated procedures here.

This review is based entirely on my personal experience as a patient…read more I paid 37,000 dollars for dental work here. I paid top-tier pricing because I wanted to avoid the exact nightmare I am living with now. I figured since its the most expensive and the do work with MISS TEXAS, and CELEBRITIES, surely they wouldn't ruin my life. Dr. Dooley and Dr. Davis were the doctors who performed the work on my teeth. I thought paying this much guaranteed quality, skill and accountability. Instead, within 24 HOURS of the "final" procedure, my teeth started falling out. Not getting loose. Actually falling out of my mouth and BREAKING! A total of 8 teeth ended up having serious issues after the work that was done. I kept going back because I wanted to believe they would fix what I was dealing with. I gave the office and both doctors every opportunity to make it right. Every attempt failed. They even REDID them and RESHAVED MY TEETH EVEN MORE. And guess what happened 24 hours later? THEY STARTED TO FALL OUT AGAIN! Now I am missing teeth I will never get back. Several others are damaged. I am spending huge amounts of money with a completely different provider just to redo the harm. When I asked for a refund, the office refused unless I signed paperwork controlling what I was allowed to say publicly. I was asked to stay quiet about my experience before they would even consider returning my money. I refused. ON NO PLANET, No patient should be pressured into silence after going through something like this! So here I am. No refund. Permanent damage to my teeth. And nothing but the TRUTH. One of the most disturbing parts of this process was hearing the office reference Dr Kline's passing even though Dr Kline never worked on my teeth at all. In my view, it felt like his death was being brought up in a way that avoided addressing what I personally experienced from the work by Dr. Dooley and Dr. Davis. I found that extremely inappropriate and unsettling. Dr Davis even admitted he "didn't know what was happening in video". (feel free to DM on instagram @thedonovanruffin, i will share all the footage as the review has limits on videos) The hardest thing for me to accept is that the same individuals who performed my procedures and that I associate with the damage I suffered are still practicing at SMILE TEXAS today. I paid 37,000 dollars believing I was buying safety and quality. Looking back, I honestly believe I would have had a better experience flying to Colombia and spending 1,000 dollars, because it truly feels like they care more about their patients than what I went through here. This was a HORROR from start to finish. When they pull 100s year old bodies from the ground, they still have their TEETH and nails, These people destroyed and took away my teeth FOREVER!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I am sharing my experience so no one else ends up in the position I am in now physically, emotionally and financially, not to mention to PAIN!!!

Horribly expensive, and worse than many cheap dentists. I won't even get into how inappropriately…read morethe staff talk while people are there...

But this is my 2nd time getting my teeth cleaned and the hygienist is not good. She barely polishes the teeth. She doesn't do a thorough job scraping plaque. She does not know how to get in between both sides of the teeth to get to the gum lines when she flosses for you. Compared to my previous dentist office, this hygienist is awful. My husband has had the same experience with her as well. She needs to be properly trained.

My wife went in for a cleaning and they recommended root canal while our prior dentist just recommended a filling was all necessary. I went in few weeks later and they couldn't find anything wrong with my teeth, so they recommend deep cleanings, not just one session but two sessions. Which out of pocket will cost close to $300 dollars for something normally my insurance will cover for the standard cleaning. To add insult to injury to patients time, I have to come back for the deep cleaning, they don't have time. Anyhow, I scheduled a followed up with my regular dentist and they did a traditional cleaning without any additional cost and confirm Comfort Dental recommendations were just not needed. Long story short, they lost potential future businesses from our family due to greed...
