I always like to change my workout as I can get a bit bored. However, no more boredom as every…read moreclass is different with owner/trainer Brandon Brickley! One of my good friends started CG (Ft. Worth area) in 2020. Watching her transform mentally & physically I was curious on what she was doing. Over several weeks of grilling her I decided to be brave & signed up for a class that is offered by my house & I am hooked. I am so glad I started training with Brandon as I was getting worried about my bone strength & having these horrible visions of having impaired mobility as I get older. At the camp, you go at your own pace & it is really exciting when you see/feel the milestones & improvements in your journey. After 3 months I am stronger, more flexible, faster & mentally I feel so freakin' good. Brandon will give modifications per exercise & is very hands on as he walks around to correct your form or to give you a shout out. His enthusiasm for what he does shows, he is truly vested in your journey. Did I mention he is the best trainer I've had? Ever? As mentioned above, every "camp" is different. And as I have the best trainer at CG that loves to mix things up. Don't be surprised to see cornhole, a basketball hoop or huge jenga in the parking lot. Each class is well thought out & the hour goes by very quickly. You work the whole body (cardio & strength) including your mind as Brandon leads you through a routine that makes you THINK about what you are doing or how you are going to do it. Camp Gladiator is a four week outdoor group fitness program. The workouts cycle per week & builds on the previous week's training. I like that there is a different focus per week: Week 1 - Endurance - "Full body workouts that keep your heart rate at a steady pace" Week 2 - Strength & Agility - "Agile movements to work on coordination & muscular efficiency" Week 3 - Interval - "High intensity workouts with short rest periods in between" Week 4 - Peak - "Challenging workouts that push you to your highest exertion level" This location is in the West parking lot of the Memorial Drive United Methodist Church (MDUMC!). I love this location because, duh, Brandon, it is a safe location & the people. Community is a focal point with CG & being in a class with people of different ages & fitness levels is motivating & fun. CG offers members access to unlimited workouts whether you hit an outdoor class or a virtual workout (there are so many virtual classes to choose from across 7 states). So come out & join me one fine morning at Camp Gladiator - MDUMC. One class with Brandon & you will see why I am so enthusiastic about my fitness journey. AND Brandon offers coffee after camp. Get your sweat on, grab a cup of exceptional java, hang out with other campers & don't forget to say Hi to Finley, the cutest side-kick dog! See ya there!!!!!!!

When your 7 year old wants to wake up at 4:45AM for a workout you know it's fun. Also at this location the trainer brews cold brew and hot coffee every morning. This gym is great! I…read moreenjoy this gym dearly. I've been going to CFMH for over 2 months now and I can't get enough of it. The pricing and schedule is right in line with other crossfit gyms in the area. The owner is very helpful. She is helpful and enthusiatic about the culture of crossfit. The other coaches are great assets to the 'box'. They are also willing to answer any fitness/nutritional question in person or via e-mail or fb. The 'box' is fully equipped with everything a crossfitter would need. Plenty of weights, kettlebells, plyo boxes, jump ropes, tires etc. They also offer a nutritional challenge for the members for the summer, spring and fall. Yoga classes once a week and various health seminars. The other members are supportive and competitive. Once you go through a couple of WODs with them you feel like they are family.

I haven't taken classes here yet but I am training with one of the coaches. I have only been to one…read moreother box and will say that CrossFit Memorial is so clean. The facility is great. So I was introduced to Sarah Provan by my nutritionist, Michael Florida. For me finding a personal trainer is almost as important as finding a boyfriend or a hairstylist. You have to vibe well and they must have an understanding of what you need. I was also very skeptical of crossfit because one it looks very intimidating and two lots of people get hurt through it. But since she came highly recommended by someone I really trust, I decided to give it a go. Day 1: Preview workout. She really sat down and got to know my fitness background, my fitness goals, and my style of working out. We did a preview workout which was challenging but very motivating because I got through it! Outside of training days: Because I also enjoy spin, she worked it in with my plan and also assigns great workouts too. Cardio blast is no joke! Training: Each and every workout session I learn something new and it is very exciting to me. The workouts are HARD, and I cuss and sweat and overly dramatic, but always always leave feeling very accomplished. Progression: In just about a month that I have been with Sarah, I have definitely regained strength, improved technically, am not as winded, and now can get up into a wall assisted headstand! Oh and dropping 5lbs of fat didn't hurt either!! I can't wait to continue on with my fitness journey with Sarah by my side!! Also with Sarah's training, I am feeling more confident and hope to join the classes soon.
