LOVE Silverbear Sundries. First, let me start by saying that Ember (owner) is a pleasure to talk to. She is so knowledgeable and can help you find the right product for your needs.
I was first introduced to their products by a friend of mine. We were both on a hunt for a natural/aluminum free deodorant. She stopped at the shop while in Talkeetna and bought us both a stick to try...the shop offers "2 for" deals. The deodorant is a coconut oil base (YAY) and comes in a variety of scents. My favorite scent is Mountain Mama. I've purchased so many of these for myself and gifts for friends...which they then switch to :)
I tried out more of their products a couple years ago... Their Bug Dope (repellent) is well, DOPE!!! It works AMAZING!! and it's DEET FREE!! - This is A MUST FOR SUMMER (especially in Alaska). - I take a bottle with me when I travel too. The smell is nice. You can smell the citronella, but there are other scents that make it less noticeable that it's bug spray.
Lotions and lip balms are items that I keep in multiple places, because you never know when you'll need them. My skins feels so silky, soft when I use the lotion and my lips have never felt so kissable soft. I keep these in random places (work, home, daily bag, travel bag, camper, husband's truck).
Their salves are great for dry/chapped skin/lips, cuts/scrapes, burns, endless... It's my Windex ;) If you watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding, you'll get my reference.
Goat's Milk Soap - Had no idea about how AWESOME this stuff is until about a year ago. I purchased some (whatever the deal was) Anyway, they work FABULOUS!! It's a spendy soap, but so worth it. I love the lather it creates, the scents, and the exfoliating that I get. My favorite to use (even on my face) is Almond Oat. For exfoliation, Morning Spruce is the way to go.
This past year I tried her Elderberry Ginger Tonic. I have two kids in school and can't chance them bringing the stuff home and getting everyone sick and vice versa. Whenever I feel sluggish or a cold coming on, I take some drops (sometimes a swig) and I'm good. My kids like it and it became a morning routine when the cold/flu was going around.
Tree of Life - This is great to use/massage on sore/achy areas. Helped my husbands sprained ankle.
Lastly, if you work trade shows or are on your feet for long periods of time, I HIGHLY recommend the Denali Hemp Company Salve for Pain. - I worked a 3-day show and was on my feet all day. Each night I would rub this on my feet and I could instantly feel relief. Smells nice too and my feet were so soft (BONUS) :)
OK... as you can read, I use a lot of their products and can't say anything bad about them. It's the first and only small local business that I have consistently purchased for over 5 years. I'm a forever loyal fan!! read more
