He takes the time to go over what you need for your special day and listens to any concerns. I'm chronically ill so I had to take breaks during the wedding day and while I was resting, Steve and his assistant Ami were taking incredible pics in the reception hall. His pricing is top notch- you couldn't get a better photographer. I picked western MA for our wedding because I went went to college at Umass Amherst and love the area. When we first met Steve, he actually recommended Look Park in Florence, MA to us since where we originally wanted it at Mount Pollux would've been a huge physical strain on myself (the bride) due to being sick and also to older family members. When we saw the park, we knew that was where we were always suppose to have it at. He made the night one we will never forget, and I will forever be grateful we decided on Koloski Photography. At the wedding while taking photos he honestly took very basic photos. Typical stand in a line and take the photo. He didn't really direct the people during photos, who and what and where to stand for photos. MOST of this photos anyone with DSLR camera experience could hire anyone to do. Photos were not creative, very basic, and while taking photos he was not very nice. I do not recall ever during the times meeting with him us having a bad experience so not sure why or what wasn't working.

His pictures are beyond gorgeous -- check out his portfolio for yourself -- but he is also open to the direction that you provide in making sure that his style reflects your own. Not only is Ryan a great artist, since you can see that clearly online, but something less tangible to note is that he is great at understanding the different people included in your wedding and ensuring that everyone can work well together to get the shot. For our wedding, he worked with Leslie (a second shooter), who provided a strong balancing presence to ensure all stayed on track. The two of them together worked magic with our (not always easy) family and took some breathtaking photos. On the day we were overwhelmed, exhausted, and intermittently assaulted by mosquitos but Ryan and Leslie worked professionally and swiftly to ensure we didn't get bitten to shreds and the photos they somehow pulled together are incredible. You would never guess that we were anything other than blissfully happy, and seeing that joy in the images captured of our day really helps us remember how wonderful it all was (even if the day was also a whirlwind). This past weekend we had the chance to work with him on our engagement session which was included in our wedding package. The wedding ceremony pics were perfect, and she got some excellent photos of the bridal party all together, we struggled a bit wrangling our huge family and rowdy bridal party, but she persevered and those pictures are beautiful. There were a few hiccups the day of, but that is to be expected with a large event and Heather handled them with grace. I highly recommend discussing exactly which photos are most important a few days before the wedding (family formations etc.) as that was very helpful and I was happy to let her handle all of those details the day of. Heather was able to provide me with most of the photos within 2 weeks of the ceremony and even shared all 676 of them with me online.
