I found it here at Polk's Folly. This morning I went, and was greeted by owners/staff- kind people who clearly care about their work. They have a variety of foods, fresh and frozen, and also partner with other farms that engage in similar practices. You will find much to enjoy. I see and feel their mission to feed people, families, and our community with respect and care for the planet in which we all live. Grateful for the folks at Polk's Folly!

Of course, I had to eat one of the beautiful peaches before I worked up the rest of them for the freezer. The people that own the farm are very kind and welcoming. They work hard every year to put food on our tables and they do it with the best attitude around. The farm has experienced some issues in the last many years so it's unclear if the farm will be back next year. I TRULY HOPE SO! I suggest you head over to their website and sign up for their newsletter so you can stay informed. They will email you when they have different types of produce available and you can keep up-to-date about what's going on with the farm. The drive out to Moriarty is beautiful and refreshing. Everything we ate was fresh from the field. When we took a tour of the farm, we got a chance to try the sweet corn right from the field (they do this on field trips to the farm as well). That's just some of the things the Schwebach's are known for- their beans and their corn. It was an amazing night of food (compliments to Chef Daniel of Roots Farm Cafe), music, and meeting new people. I can't wait to do it again in the future- the price was definitely worth it to support something local, or even just to visit the farm store (which I had planned on coming early to the dinner to visit, but had closed early for the day to an emergency). 2022 #46
