Three Jack and Cokes and three Bud Lights was $24, including tax. It used to be $18. So best I can figure (didn't get an itemized receipt), is the Jack is now $5 and the beer is $2.50. Still the best bargain downtown. Go there b

I've been here at random times throughout the day, and of course for the usual evening drinks and it's always a chill time. It may look a little questionable outside but the place is calm and chill. No drama or overly annoying drunk people. Definitely more of a hole in the wall to grab a drink and relax. The first Saturday of every month is their Kinky Karnival. The theme changes monthly, so check their site for the upcoming theme. Lastly, Abrahan is amazing and friendly, he remembers his guests and their drink orders. If you get lucky and he's your bartender, you will not have a bad drink.

I would be cool if they were actually playing but nope....they were kicking back, playing at their leisure, taking long smoke breaks and just keeping it tied up. That just stinks. Otherwise, this place is cool. Oh and the women's restroom was broken...men's restroom had pee all over the restroom. But that didn't even bother me as much as the inconsiderate people hogging the dart machine.

Be careful where you park because I've heard of people being towed. Once you park getting up the hill is next. My first visit to El Fuerte I did not know better and I wore big tall heels and a tight mini dress. The hill is steep, no joke. Now I either wear cowboy boots or wear flats and change into shoes once I get in. Be creative! Trashy bailes are my jam so if this isn't your style you should probably go somewhere else. You have to be assertive because the men can be harassing but most are nice and will just ask you to dance. They play a lot of banda because that is what is in style right now. Aside from that they play a lot of nortenas and cumbias. I mostly like coming here for the concerts because I suck at dancing banda. I have seen Duelo (my favorite) here twice and have been able to see them up close right as you can lean right up to the stage.

My wife and I went with two other couples we hang out with, and we'd shoot pool and do karaoke there. We really enjoyed the place and had been there at least five times. The karaoke guy was also really nice and did a great job. Our most recent visit was back in July, and I'm just getting around to leaving this review now. While we were there, we had an unpleasant experience with a woman named Tiffany, who I believe is a manager. She was extremely rude to me and my wife, and I also witnessed her yelling at other customers like they were children over something minor. They looked genuinely confused and embarrassed. After those customers left, she grabbed the beer bottles they had been drinking and slammed them into the trash can loudly. It's unfortunate because we really like this place, and we've had several good experiences there. But after what happened, I'm not going back until Tiffany is gone. The owners should know that, in my opinion, the way she treated customers is making an otherwise great bar look bad. I hope they address it, because I'd like to be able to come back.
