The door was already locked, but he saw me, came to the door, and took the time to help me anyway. He never made me feel rushed or like I was inconveniencing him. I honestly thought I might get around $30 for the ring. When he offered me $230, I was absolutely floored! I'd heard people say Gold King pays some of the best prices around, and now I know it's true. One thing I really appreciate is that he's extremely knowledgeable. He clearly knows his business and takes pride in what he does. He's fair, honest, and respectful, but he's also experienced and knows the value of what he's buying and selling. That gave me a lot of confidence that I was dealing with someone who truly knows his craft. They also have a gaming store right next door, which my son enjoyed checking out. I got my ring back a week ago and took it to different Jewelers in the surrounding area and all said, "the prong work leaves alot to be desired" - they were to replace a prong on my sapphire and tip the other 3. There are ripples in the tipped prongs and they are so bad the Jewelers reviewing it would not attempt to tell me which one was replaced. I have had this ring for over a decade, it is well loved and in sterling silver, which is soft but the sapphire is not centered. There is a huge gap and the stone is pushed to one side leaving it diagonal. There are several prongs on the accent setting that needs replacement, that was never even mentioned to me when I brought it in. This ring was giving to me by my father when I was 19, it was 1,000 almost 20 years ago, my father passed in January. There is no amount of money too great for this ring. I added photos so you can see how poorly this ring was done, every jeweler I've spoken with said they would not return my ring to me like this. The stone they lost, I went to pick up my ring and was told the jeweler forgot to put the stone in. Why was my ring not inspected before it was put in a bag as completed? The ruby was not in the bag and they only told me it was lost thr next day, because the color did not match and they had to order a new ruby. THE COLOR STILL DOES NOT MATCH! In the sun you can see how pink the stone is compared to the others. And the ruby below the ruby they replaced has been chipped in the same spot the prong lays on the stone they replaced. This ring is "well loved", it is almost 20 years old. But none of my stones were chipped when I brought it in. There was no mention of a chipped stone when it was brought in. I know there are no photos of a chipped stone because my stone WAS NOT CHIPPED! The prong that broke was on the opposite side of the ring. I've included a photo of how my ring looked before it was brought in. I am devastated this all happened. I'm angry how this was handled. Every jeweler was surprised this was Oz's work and so am I. I will be taking this as far as I can. I'm an accountant, I have money Melissa and the ring you messed up means more to me than you will ever know.

He checked and replace all the prongs on all my diamonds because he noticed they were very worn (been on my finger for 30 years!) so he replace all 12 prongs as well as setting the new stone. And cleaned the ring too. I was overjoyed when I got it back because it literally looked brand new. All the scratches on the gold were buffed out and it looked fantastic. Price was extremely reasonable and the turn around time was phenomenal! Oz has been my families go to jeweler for 35 years. I can't imagine getting anything new or having a repair done anywhere but with him. The entire staff is absolutely awesome! Highly recommend Oz's jewelers for that special piece you're looking for. I wore the ring 3 months and lost 5 diamonds on all 4 corners and one random on on the halo. We took the ring in and they wouldn't cover the loss of the diamonds. It didn't cost a fortune so we just went ahead and paid it to be fixed. The ring came back just like when Cody gave it to me. I wore the ring an additional 3 months and lost 3 more totaling 8 diamonds in 6 months. I am not hard on the ring at all I take really good care of my things. I never wear it outside or doing anything that will hurt the ring. I wore it daily to work (where I sit behind a desk all day and have a phone to my ear) and out to dinner. I took the ring back to have it repaired for the second time. The manager told me she would have a small wire placed that you wouldn't see around the halo to secure the diamonds. She told me it would alter the look of the ring but I would still see all the diamonds. I agreed because I didn't know what else to do to save my ring. She told me my ring had excessive wear, discoloring and scratches. I couldn't see any scratches or discoloration to my eyes but ok ‍ long story short they took the ring in on a Saturday for 2 weeks I called one week later to check on it and nothing has been done to it. The following week on a Tuesday feb 13 I get a call stating my ring will be done Wednesday. They called again saying the wrong metal came in for it and that it would be ready by the next day. I get a call from the girl Friday who sold the ring to Cody and she said how beautiful my ring was and she couldn't wait for me to see it. So Saturday I go to pick up the ring and the manager pulls it out and says I haven't even seen it and looks at it and said "oh how beautiful" I starred at the ring in complete shock and couldn't believe how hideous they made the ring. I told her while I was there that I didn't like it and the ring wasn't symmetrical and I was not happy. She told me to wear the the ring a few days to see if I liked it. I knew then and there I wouldn't like in an hour, half a day, sleep on it 2 days blah blah. So I came back Monday 2/19 to meet with the owner he wasn't there and wouldn't be until 230/3. So I worked with Lori trying to get a refund back, a new ring just like mine or a trade in. She was determining I wasn't getting a refund back but I could trade it in for a $2700 or more ring and get a credit of $650 for my ring. Or one that was $1596 that was similar to mine. That wasn't flying with me when they were the ones who ruined my ring. I asked her if the owner saw my ring and she said he did. I said he saw it just like this how it's messed up? she stated no and I left it with her to show him. I told her before I left that I wanted the owner to call me. During all of this time she was rude and nasty and slammed her hands down on the counter while I am being very nice and about in tears because they ruined a ring that I loved so much. Later today at 230 I got a text from her saying "Hey Brandi, it's Lori at Bisanars. He said we would do a difference of 650.00. You can also finance the difference for 12 months if that helps. Just Let me know. Thanks!" I responded please have the owner call me. Never heard anything so I called at 415pm and the manager cut me short and said I am not getting involved in this and have nothing to do with it. I kindly asked him what he thought of the ring and he said he thought it was beautiful. I stated you mean to tell me that you would give at ring looking that that to your significant other. How can you let a product leave your business looking like that. He was very rude and wasn't helpful at all. We purchased my wife's wedding ring from a regional jewelry store chain in Oregon. She chose the…read morering not only because it is beautiful, but it is also more original than others we looked at. She was diligent in taking her ring in twice a year for inspections when we lived on the west coast. However, since moving to the east coast she has struggled to find a jewelry store to get it inspected under the original warranty. She contacted the store we purchased it at and they helped her identify a NC jeweler who is also part of the national jewelers guild. The benefit of using other jewelers within the guild is that inspections and repairs are part of the lifetime warranty. The only jeweler in North Carolina that is part of the guild is Saslow's Jewelers. We learned they formerly had a storefront in Greensboro but now it is only their corporate office. The closest locations to us are either Boone or Hickory. My wife wanted to get her ring inspected and resized. She reached out to the Hickory store and Cheryl the store manager was very responsive and helpful. She confirmed we could drop the ring off and they would get it resized. She estimated the turnaround time at one week and my wife talked with Cheryl about the store hours, etc. Last weekend we took the 60 minute drive to Hickory to drop it off. The store is conveniently located within the Valley Hills Mall and lucky for us, across the street from one of our favorite barbecue spots, Hugh's Q. Parking was easy and we entered the mall through the food court. We were able to easily find Saslow's on the lower level. We were greeted by Omi and my wife told him she had spoken to Cheryl. It was apparent that Cheryl had spoken to Omi about the conversation and he was quick to help my wife determine the correct size for her ring and was friendly and helpful. My wife received a call from Saslow's a few days later stating her ring was ready so we took another drive this weekend to pick it up. Once again we were greeted by Omi and my wife is very happy with the new fit. Overall, a great experience and we absolutely recommend Saslow's to others! A huge shoutout to Cheryl and Omi as well.
