**Unreliable and left us stranded**…read more After waiting two months for our turn, Juan of Mission Painting flaked on our job. Juan knew we had residual vines on the front of our house that needed to be removed before painting. We discussed how they would remove them during our in-person walkthrough. He came out on Monday to power wash the house and said he would be back Thursday to do, and I quote, "the vines and the finish prepping" ahead of painting on Friday and Saturday. He never did. Instead, on Wednesday, when we reached out to clarify the color we wanted for our doors and asked that the gutters with vines be smoothed out (they are at eye level), he decided he no longer wanted the job unless we found someone else to handle the vines. We waited two months! We had been working on the other prep items, such as wood rot repair, and could easily have found someone to do this if he had told us he didn't want to or couldn't. Even communication on Monday, we could have tried to find someone before paint Friday. I asked prior to our upcoming job if there was anything we needed to do to prepare the home for paint, and his only response was "make sure the windows are closed" for the power wash. He then said he would try to help find someone who might be able to help. We got one call from someone who would only do the vines if they could also paint the house, and then nothing. Juan never followed up, never apologized, and never tried to make it right. We are now heading into the rainy season with a large home that is not easy to squeeze into someone's schedule. Extremely disappointed. If you go with Juan, know that he may say he can do the job, and then after you wait months, he may back out. Not dependable. No follow-through. No concern for the impact on the customer.
