They kept every promise they made and delivered my OCL suppressor in 126 days instead of the predicted wait of 155 days. I submitted everything on March, 26 2024. The only thing that freaked me out was that USPS sent me a message saying that someone signed for it at my address! It was in my locked neighborhood mailbox. Not exactly delivered to my door. I didn't know they had such a bad name before I started the process. I gave 5 stars out of pure relief.

Fortunately, there's a satellite Dalton, GA FBI office near me and I know these FBI dudes and they know me very well, too. This Silencer Central outfit is questionable, in the business of making money with little effort. I sent in several fingerprint kits, and they managed to reject all of them for one reason or another. So far, between these two thieving companies, I've been ripped off for over $700. I'm 81 years old and this amount of money is tantamount to theft for a retired person. I received this note this morning from Silencer Central: "Good morning William! We do appreciate you making contact with us to confirm you'd like your application submitted as an Individual. We do apologize for any inconvenience, but your order has been cancelled as of 3/5/2025 due to no progression being made with your ATF paperwork. With your order being fulfilled through Guns.com, you'd have to make contact with Guns.com to determine the status of your refund, and any applicable options you may have to re-create the order. We do have your fingerprints on file, so if you re-create the order, we wouldn't need a copy of your fingerprints. We would need an updated photo, and any paperwork to be completed in your Silencer Central portal. These options would come available to you after the order is re-created. Knowing the order was cancelled 13 months ago, you'd want to first make contact with Guns.com in regards to the status of your refund; if you had not already received that. Between Silencer Central and Guns.com, their "partnership" appears as a scam to me. Thank you, Silencer Central 4901 N 4th Ave. Sioux Falls, SD 57104" You can be bounced back and forth between these two companies and get nowhere. I'm hoping the FBI can shove a ramrod up their butts. I have been extremely disappointed by silencer central. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Silencer central advertises their hassle free, efficient process of purchasing a Silencer. What they don't tell you is after all approvals go through, they have several other waiting periods to go through just to ship your product with little to no communication. They claim that your product will be shipped in 1-3 business days following approval, my product did not ship for another 3 weeks after several phone calls checking in and getting this pushed up the line. They began saying it will ship the next day until finally admitted they had no idea what was taking so long and had to go check their inventory. On top of all this in compensation for the struggles they could not expedite or fix any shipping issues, instead they offered several free branded logo products all of which also took several weeks to even leave their facility. And that was after several phone calls and emails in to see why the free stuff wouldn't even ship. If you want to ever receive your order from them you will need to continuously check in and call to motivate them to ship your product, an even then it won't come in anywhere near the expected date. I am still waiting on one of the free products they offered which they just informed after 2 weeks of it "processing" that its aparently now on back order and won't ship for another 2 weeks. You are better off shipping to an FFL and buying through any other website. read more

I purchased a suppressor with silencer central and immediately cancelled it, the total was $494 a week later they issued a refund less $200. This company stole my money. At no time did they say they would charge me $200 AlL they said it is on there website DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.. read more

I tried to purchase an Obsidian 45 suppressor from these people. After finding out that they cannot use my ATF electronic finger print file after I was told they could I politely asked for my money back. The are refusing to give me a refund and still have my $760.00. stay away from this business at all cost because they will steal your money. read more
I had a pleasant experience purchasing my first one. Phone calls were easy. Lots of options to choose from. Got a discount with a web special and only took 3 weeks to get everything. Great value and experience! read more

Silencer Central (Sioux Falls, SD 57104) is run by liars and thieves, and the forms you are required to fill out are vague and misleading, allowing the Feds to reject your application for the most trivial of reasons, like a minor clerical error. Also, you can't find out one thing about the process until you give them your money, and by the time you realize that doing business with them was a mistake, it's too late!... They are going to keep $200, or 25% of your money, which ever is greater... In my case, they are keeping over $400 of my money, for doing NOTHING!... And that's their con game... They make lots of money whether your application goes through, or not... So they could care less about any of it, most likely preferring that the contrived and misleading application is rejected, leaving them free to move on and steal from the next naive and well intended customer... Silencer Shop out of Texas is the exact same way!... You've been warned!... read more

I purchased a suppressor from them and the process was fairly simple. Then I had to purchase and adapted because the adapter included with the suppressor didn't fit my barrel. I looked at a couple of different places for the adapter. The prices were all within a few dollars, but I decided to purchase from Silencer Central because they told me the adapter would ship either that day or the next and it would be coming from a dealer in my state (NC). Then two days later I get a shipping notification stating that the shipping label was created and discovered the adapter is coming from SD. After waiting another day, the shipping status still says, "Label created." I chatted online with Silencer Central and they offered no help. So, I was mislead to believe I would receive the adapter in a "couple of days," but they still haven't shipped it. Creating a shipping label doesn't count as shipping the package. Do better. read more

I'm now 1.5 YEARS without a working can. They are completely deceptive about how long this process takes. A large portion of the wait is totally discretionary to them and they just drag their feet. Item arrived on a random day with no notice and they left it on my porch. The USGOV only makes up 4-6 months of the wait. I received my can with MISSING PARTS. Which are now on backorder and they have sent no updates, no timeline. Utterly obnoxious and these people are completely taking advantage of scarcity to rip us off. Unprofessional crap show, NOT worth the "convenience". Should be investigated by the BBB. read more

Ordered an adapter for the Salvo 12 in August 2024, which their website indicated was in stock and NOT in back order. After 4 days of radio silence, I emailed them asking about when I should expect shipment. Only then, did they inform me that it was in back order. I did not agree to pay for an item in back order. I got a refund in January 2025, but even getting the money back proved to be a nightmare, with Silencer Central playing games and requiring that I get the Better Business Bureau involved to get my money back. After lack of updates, I requested a refund by both e-mail and phone call in 11/13/24, which was acknowledged by the rep there. Then, after two weeks of no communication regarding the refund, I called again on 11/26/24 to ask for an update. The rep told me that it takes 30 days to process the refund and that I will get my money back in 12/13/24. I did not get my money back by this date, so called for a THIRD time, but this time was told it will take 30 days from the second phone call (11/26/24), which makes no sense, but I decided to wait by then. By 1/1/25, I still did not get my money and filed a complaint with the BBB. Initially they claimed they refunded my money (a lie), forcing me to respond with copies of my bank statement and correspondence. Only after this response, they replied back by processing my request via fast-track. I got my money back the day after. Stay away from this these people, they are liars and will try to steal from you. read more

I'm not even sure where to start. The most embarrassing thing is that my friends can go to some kiosk down the street and have their suppressor in their hand in 3-4 days. This goofball company has to "contact the local sheriff" and then "write a letter to the local sheriff" and then wait a mandatory 7-10 days to send it out. Hell, this doesn't include the 5-6 days that I waited for the fingerprint cards. I called in and found out that I could have done my own fingerprint cards and didn't need to wait. So, if you are not happy with all of this and you want to cancel, you get ... "75% refund on a Silencer Central gift card from the total purchase". 3 words.... RUN RUN RUN. read more

I am astonished at how FedEx and Silencer Central treat their customers. In March, I had a new suppressor. I fired one round through it and it broke, on top of that the original endcap they sent was damaged so this is the second warranty issue with the suppressor ,so I contacted Silencer Central and they sent me a warranty repair form and a prepaid FedEx label to send it back. I packed it up exactly as they told me to and dropped it off at the dropbox just like they said to do. I tried to get FedEx to answer the door, but of course they would not, so I put it in the dropbox during normal business hours so it could get picked up. I called silencer Central multiple times checking up on it. Four months later, I found out it got stolen. Essentially, the entire time they told me, "Yep, we have your suppressor, we're working on it," but in fact they were tracking the wrong serial number. They messed up on their end with serial numbers, which is not good for an NFA item. I contacted them again and they told me, "Oh, it never even shipped here, so there's nothing we can do about this." FedEx denied the claim because they never had an original scan. I filed police reports and reported the stolen NFA item with the ATF. Everyone is telling me to basically "piss off" that I'm out $1700 and that there's nothing anyone can do because there was no original scan. They offered me a discount on buying another one, which is total BS. I shouldn't have to pay for something I've already paid for. I shouldn't have needed a warranty in the first place. I followed the process and did everything exactly as I was supposed to, and there was a mess up on their end with tracking. FedEx got robbed and ignored it and denied it since it was never scanned, even though it happened in their facility, which miraculously doesn't have cameras on the outside or inside of the building. This tells me a lot. Now I'm sitting here and everyone's telling me they're not going to do anything for me, so I am pissed. I am out $1700 worth of items that I'm not going to get back, and I am super unhappy with the way I was treated. I am at a complete loss cause I don't know what to do now besides vent and hope that maybe people share this and someone will live up to their mistakes or something. I don't know share list to anyone you can to know do not buy from Silencer Centralor ship FedEx you will get screwed. They're basically acting like I didn't even turn in. You think I would lie about a not shipping a NFA item that's a felony to do something like this or have lost or stolen. It's just pathetic on the way they're acting 100,000,000+ dollar sounds company and multibillion-dollar shipping company both say screw their customers that tells me a lot. I'll never use either of them again. Also, there's lots of other people that are in the same situation from the exact same period of time that needs to be solved and found so I hope that the Dickinson Police Department - North DakotaDickinson Police Department can find these people and maybe make restitution to all these people that got items stolen the same time i did since fedex wont help us. DO NOT BUY FROM SILENCE CENTRAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Completely incompetent, horrible service, hidden delays they don't tell you about. They are completely full of SHIT every step of the way. Their ATF approval timelines are COMPLETE LIES, period. They quote 1-7 days and I waited over 240 days!!!!!!!! Then, I finally get the ATF approval, I immediately complete the paperwork and wait for a response, of course nothing. I finally call them today and ask when they will be shipped and the tell me they have to send a letter to my local sheriff letting them know I am receiving a supressor and I have to wait an additional 10 days!!!!!!! to finish this saga, they tell me that they will finally ship in 3-5 weeks!!!!!!!! Are you F...ing kidding me!!!!!!!!!! My guess is they are a complete WOKE company fully complying with DEI and doing everything in their power to keep supressors from true Americans like you and me!! They need to be put out of business so they can't screw any more of us... I have had very good results with Silencer Co I have purchased 8 supressors from them that went flawlessly. I won't write a long story but I will say do NOT deal with this company. Once they have your card number any pretense of customer service goes out the window. My "salesman" was Travis Snyder. Avoid him and the company at all costs. It is entirely possible (and preferable) to get a silencer and Trust elsewhere with better people and more transparency. read more

Dissappointment I agree with others that the process is overall convenient online. Heres my problem: They are behind their competitors that have contracts with various gun stores in your area to provide digital fingerprinting as part of the process. Or simply use your local gun shop that has one of these. They take care of it all the same. It was convenient getting my fingerprint kit from silencer central and i sent it off right away. Guess what? They never received it. Lost in the mail? Mail theft and future stolen identity? Guess ill wait and see. In the meantime its been 2 weeks and I still have not gotten a replacement fingerprint kit (if I'd like to risk sending it in again of course). So I asked for a refund. No way. They dont do refunds, they only do in-store credits. So, moral of the story, support your local gun shop or use the other online competitors. Good luck. read more

WOW, this company got so much of my order wrong, then the whole replacement then subsequent cancellation and expectation for my refund was handled just as unprofessional! They even returned the wrong item they sold me after I received the return envelope for a refund and sent it back to them, I guess they need the money more than the product, but I still want my refund for the wrong item their salesman told me I needed! I have more cans to purchase in the near future and I wont be getting from this, CIRCUS!! read more

Upset with them. Cleared LEO 22nd Aug. (Took the LEO notification letter days to get to the LEO's for the waiting period). That is a separate issue. I was told it would ship out the next day the 23rd August. It stated it would take a couple days to get tracking info. On Tues, the 27 I called as it did not show tracking. I was told they would have it shipped by the end of the week. On friday 30th, it had not been shipped out. I called again and was told, in a condescending way, that they were busy shipping to AZ and it was in the queue. Little later that day, I received an email stating they didn't have the adapter (s) needed and it would ship out sometime in Sept but no date was given. Reason was supplier was out of needed parts and they were waiting for parts. (Wouldn't these parts be put aside when I ordered and paid in full)?? I called the supplier and was told, not only did they have the parts wrong but the supplier had the parts in stock, ready to ship. I asked if I could purchase said correct part and they said of course. I called back SC once again, and stated I did not need those parts and please send out my suppressor. After some resistant from the guy on the phone. Nice guy though, he agreed to refund me for the unneeded parts. I was told it was being expedited and management was following it. As of today, Sept 1, it was not shipped out. I realize this is a first world problem. However, I don't believe the right hand knows what the left hand is doing there. If I could cancel and buy elsewhere I would. I am buying 2 more suppressors. They will not be from SC. Thanks for letting me rant. I am just very frustrated. read more

This Company does nothing but lie. I went to a big buck expo in Little Rock AR and stopped at their booth. The guy behind the counter talked to me about a 9mm pistol Silencer. After agreeing to buy said can I told him my id was for 1 state, but I work on the road a lot and only go to that House once or twice a yr. I SPECIFICALLY asked him before doing all the paperwork could it be shipped to a address that I was at if not I will pass on the silencer. He told me OVER AND OVER yes just call customer service before they ship it that it's not an issue. With that understanding I went through with the deal. Now that everything is cleared and paid for, I called customer service and what do you know it has to been shipped to said address on the id. I totally understand that a law is a law, and they have a process but that's why I asked over and over and he told me what I wanted to hear just to get a sale. I talked to customer service and asked for a refund, and he said he couldn't do that. He said I would have to wait for a month or 2 for a non-response to happen and then it would be cancelled, and I would get a credit to silencer central. My thought was why would I want a credit when you can't mail anything to me ever. So now that they have over 1000.00 of my money because they hire COMPLETE LIARS. The customer service guy even said the man that sold me the Silencer at the show got fired and that there wasn't proof he told me that. HORRIBLE COMPANY. F*** Them read more

BUYERS BEWARE.... I Wish I read the review before purchasing. You can go to your local guy and get a suppressor in 3-4 days. They haven't even submitted my app to the ATF. Still five months in and nothing. Then I go to cancel my order and the have the audacity to keep 25% of the cost for doing nothing. What a joke of company. Make $300/customer for not delivering on goods. Let's do the math... 100 customers/week, 5200/year at $300 keeping 25% of refunds they make $1,560,000.00 absolutely lying to the customers. read more

They are the absolute worse in Customer relations and service... NO REALLY... THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY OF MY LIFETIME ... I placed a late night order with them and woke up the next morning deciding to cancel.. no product was shipped, not enough hours for them to perform anything justifying there answer to me regarding my request for cancellation. Over the past few weeks, I have communicated by e-mail and phone calls. Each time I get the same response .... THEIR POLICY... and the fact that I apparently agreed to their refund policy ( which in fact is not what one would consider as a refund) ... which is, They first keep a 25% "restocking fee" and rather than give the $ back for the other 75%, they give your 75% refund back in the form of a Silencer Central gift certificate good for 1 year... so basically, they keep 100% of the money issued to them ... not a refund... the gift certificate is worthless as the refund I would receive is just a couple hundred of $'s... nothing they have do I desire and besides, I have no interest in "purchasing " anything from this company. I have placed a BBB complaint about their policy and practices ,... They have a B+ rating on BBB (not great) and hope to receive a full credit to my credit card .... they have made exemptions to their policy to others that have issued a BBB complaint, although the supervisor at Silencer Central claimed they have always stayed firm with their "Refund- No-Refund" Policy.... Highly recommend you take your business elsewhere ... Silencer Central should never be used ... spread the word. They have paid for this negative advertising by not refunding a reasonable request of a customer ! read more

This company is a bunch of crooks. The website will not allow you to up-date any of your records for the purchase you make. Their refund policy is a complete joke. You spend money with them, they offer you only instore credit to buy from them. So that being said they STEAL or hold your own money ransom to never be seen again. I gave them one star because you don't have the option of giving them 0 stars. 1) After final government approval it took them an additional 6 weeks before they sent the shipment out. 2) Unit arrived missing one of the 2 o-rings so it was unusable. 3) Unit arrived with the wrong pistons so I couldn't use it on any of my guns. 4) Information included was woefully inadequate. Use anyone else. Nobody else could by worse so anybody else could only be the same or better. read more

They just want your money. once they have it they don't want to help you. I called so many times and never got a return phone call. 18 months later no suppressor and they won't help you when you have the paperwork to submit for more details asked for by the atf. getting a refund at 75% the amount you paid is a huge challenge too. took me contacting the bbb to even get the refund process started. look up reviews on these folks and you will see same complaints from lots of folks. these ppl should be investigated for fraud. what a joke of a company. read more

My form was denied and I found out it's their fault. They sent me an email saying I can get half my money back after waiting over a year or they can resubmit it and pay my next tax stamp. I then wait another year, finally get my suppressor and they refuse to comment on the 200$ Credit after multiple emails. That was my experience. The suppressor works fine, but the service was awful. I'm definitely never ordering from this company again. read more

Ive had a 15 month long negative experience for the second time because I was again lied to by sales about how much faster the second time would be. Both times turned out to be twice as long as sales claims. nothing but lies from day 1 again customer service has lied over and over each person says something different and just blames the last rep that I had spoken with. even once a rep was nasty to me insisting I spoke with a Ryan last. and not her when I have proof I have never spoken to a Ryan directly. It's Been a month SINCE APPROVAL item finally made it to the ffl the centrals warehouse took forever to ship out once they got notice from my sheriff. then once THEIR ffl got it he took longer than their advertised time to ship. They say 72 hours another lie. now tracking makes it seem likes it missing asked what happens if it is lost or stolen. 15 emails back and forth to get any answer I think that is a fair question that any capable customer service rep would be able to answer in what amounted to an argument still no real answer. asked why when people pay so much and people wait so long while they collect 15 months worth of interest on my purchase do they use ground shipping the cheapest and most unreliable of all shipping??? Those few more dollars from people that you are ripping off isnt worth helping your product be delivered as promised? That's company derived and horrible business. I had to argue back and forth for them to finally even admit to me that they did ship the cheapest and slowest way possible. And asked if they didn't think their customers deserved better after this insane and expensive process. Surprise nothing to say . Almost a week after leaving ffl still no delivery estimate only says in network late No idea when I need to be home to sign because I guess ground does not provide the best tracking. Entire process is a joke they take your money and don't care. Also Once I finally got approved I got an email saying my order was black when I ordered fde. I was told senior management will check the warehouse right away and call me in about 20 mins. Serval days later and me calling back several times to ask what the color was I finally had someone willing to confirm with me. Just had a talk with a supervisor literally just now and he says he will address the concerns and have some training or something for the reps to help them better learn how to help people. Honestly given the fact that 99% of the reps I spoke with offered only excuses and in some cases were flat out nasty and rude gave literally zero help. They didn't even offer to provide or help provide an answer or solution . Just oh she was wrong she shouldn't have said that etc. Not once a yes I get your concerns let's take a look into this let's see how I can help nope. no one said I'll look into it or hang on a second let me ask a supervisor. doubt there will be any real change or improvements in their customer service department. And with the reviews I'm seeing on how the scam and treat people that is company culture for sure the entire place needs to be shut down. Especially since I had a previous supervisor tell me the same thing about training and obviously nothing has changed. Another thing I am am still unhappy with is the fact that if my order is indeed lost or stolen I loose at least 25% of what I paid. after waiting out the entire process following all the rules and laws and never even seeing my order they keep 25% of my purchase even though every mistake delay cheap shipping lies etc was on them. I truly hope it is just usps being garbage but if that is not the case may seek legal counsel. I'm willing to loose money to make them be accountable. Please do not use this company many companies with much better reviews that do the same thing or find a class 3 dealer in your state. Would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. They offered me a tax stamp credit and free wrap. I said I wanted neither one I'll never go through this again with them two I have no interest in giving them a reason to reply and lie about how they helped me out. Also so everyone knows this is the short and fairly nice version of the story it highlights only a few of the many horrible experiences with customer service Saw another review specifically mentioning a Rachel being a horrible rep. I've Had many encounters with Rachel including today. She was the one I referenced in the 15 email "argument" I had today. She needs to fired she is obviously not helpful and rude to not just me but more than one person. yes more than once I've dealt with her each time has been extremely unpleasant. I had no intention of naming anyone specific but after seeing someone else had serious issues with her attitude and poor job performance she needs to be gone. Btw recently learned something. As an FFL 7 and SOT 2 my transaction should've taken 1-2 weeks total. Unfortunately, the sales team just focused on closing the sale and then communication stopped unless I engaged. I had to force their hand to submit my form 3 which didn't get submitted until 8 days after purchase. Once submitted I had to call 3 times to receive my confirmation number and check the status of approval. Once approved I waited 2 days to see if I would receive a call, to my surprise .... No Call. I called customer service to ask the status I already had to see what they would say, once again they said "it wasn't approved yet". I proceeded to tell her I called, and it was approved 2 days prior. She then stumbles, puts me on hold and said yes sir it is approved. I asked when my silencer would be sent, and she took my information to "call me back, once she speaks with the shipping department". SURPRISE, once again I didn't get a call back and called the next day. I demanded a tracking number and once I became confrontational, I finally got one. They shipped it with no signature confirmation and the package was left on my doorstep (yep, an NFA item)! This is completely unacceptable. I finally think I'm done with this company and receive an email stating they are automatically charging my 75 dollars on their EZPAY program because of an unpaid balance (I paid in full and don't get charged the tax stamp or tax). After a stern conversation with a sales manager, I finally got my balance cleared and taken off that program. If you are buying a silencer and you are or aren't an SOT/FFL avoid this company. If the wait times for your tax stamp is 1 year according to the lax attitude and disorganization of this company, you will wait an additional 6 months. They have no quality control system, and there are no checks and balances clearly. After speaking with some people in the community they are the drop shippers of silencers and don't even produce their own. read more

Ordered 3 pistons for 89 dollars a piece after roughly 10 days I got a notification my order shipped when my order arrived only 1 piston was in the bag so I called and was told 1 was out of stock (website did not indicate this) and the other is in stock and no idea why it didn't ship so several days later I still didn't get no shipping information so I called again and was told it's not in stock (once again website did not indicate this) and they don't know why I was told that about last week I received another package with 1 piston but still not all 3 I checked the website and the piston I have not received is available for sale I emailed asking why this is but received no response throughout this whole process they keep saying they are busy well other website give warning about extended wait times and don't sell products they don't have so far almost 2 months has passed and I still have not received my items anything I ordered through silencer shop came immediately also look at the better business bureau it seems this happens very frequently read more

This is a horrible company to deal with. I waited a long time to get the tax stamps, in that time they decided to change there shipping policies. they are now requiring signatures for deliveries. which I understand, but without the communication and working out of town. I can't get them delivered or picked up for over a month. I had to return to sender. besides that they were slower than other full service companie. i would look to other companies instead for this one. read more

Good luck if you go with them. I ordered a suppressor the first week in June of 2022. I still haven't gotten it. Thats over a year. All the paperwork was done and the money paid. And you just wait. I ordered my Banish 30 in March 2022, and rec'd my Banish 30 in February 2023. I can't say enough good things about the suppressor. My salesman was Chester. A good man. He helped me in every way possible. The process was painless. Everyone at Silencer Central was kind to me and helpful. I had never purchased a suppressor before. I had no idea what to expect. I watched every video I could to help myself. I remember the first day I took it to the range. I was alone that day. Another fellow showed up and he had never seen one, or shot with one. I fired the first round and just had a big grin on my face. I ask him if he wanted to shoot. After he shot he was like a child. We are both old men and it really made are day. He said," I got one question, where did you get that at because I have to have one!" I gave him my sticker that was in the box and told him to go online. order supressor. complete all paperwork. nothing for a week. I reach out and they tell me order is on back order even though it was in stock when purchased and still shows in stock. customer service tried to lie and say all items show in stock even though they are on back order - website shows what's on back order vs what's in stock. so basically once they get your sale and money they just put your order on "back order" and will get to it in 4-8 weeks. don't use silencer central. don't be like me read more

10/10 do NOT recommend buying a silencer from these people. They'll fuck up your ATF paperwork, and then only offer to give you a 75% refund on an item they make in house. Yet it doesn't state that in their terms and conditions. Trash company. Take your business elsewhere. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Do not allow Silencer Central to form your NFA trust! In my state, according to an in-state attorney that specializes in NFA trusts, wills and probate, this document will not work as stated on Silencer Central's own website and by several of their employees. As such, I have had to incur much more expense to have the provided Trust re-done properly so that it is a legal instrument in my state. Silencer Central refused to reimburse me for all expenses associated with correcting this to make good on their guarantee(s). In the future, I will use local retailers and I would urge all to do the same. read more

Just the facts here. You be the judge! 2/13/23 purchase Banish 46, Trust and a plethora of other addons. Immediately complete all of my digital signing, uploads, etc. 2/16/23 receive tracking for fingerprint cards. 2/20/23 return fingerprint cards. 3/14/23 receive email from CS confirming receipt of cards (almost a month after I sent them). 3/22/23 completed joint online certification (e-forms). 10/20/23 ATF approves e-form. 10/20/23 complete 4473 again in digital format. 10/23/23 receive confirmation 4473 has been completed. 10/24/23 receive tracking notification (getting excited). Waiting, waiting, waiting. Nothing. 10/27/23 I call to get status update. I'm told have to wait 7 business days for LEO informed confirmation. Good news is that time has been completed. Told my items were preparing to ship. Informed that silencers are send in bulk by state to a singular FFL who then ships them out. But, good news again, my product will be shipped in time for my gun opener here in PA. Waiting, waiting, waiting. 11/11/23 receive company "regrets" email to everyone. Processing delays. 11/13/23 call again. Wait forever to speak with someone. Was told there is a new system causing issues. Was told they would elevate my case and call me back. No return call but rather a generic email with language which was meaningless to the lay person. I sent a gentle yet somewhat scathing response email regarding keeping one's word and honoring the shipping commitment. 11/13/23 receive a return call from a supervisor. I am informed that no one in the warehouse is responding to their inquiry regarding my items. Was informed that after the bulk shipment to the FFL, that FFL has 72 hours to send out my items and will provide yet another tracking notification. Soon after, I receive another email with tracking notification but no tracking number. Waiting, waiting, waiting. 11/21/23 I call and wait for 14 other cases to be addressed. Speak with Rachel this time. She informs me that my shipment has been received by the PA FFL on 11/20/23 but that I will have to wait because the FFL is not shipping out until 11/27/23. When I inquire as to the 72 hours turn around I was informed of, she says, "People take vacations." Wow, just wow. She sends me a tracking number from the SC shipment to the FFL. It reads, "October 24, 2023 pre-shipment". Are you kidding me? All in all, CS delays and heal dragging has resulted in 2+ more months of waiting than necessary. Waiting for approval is bad enough. To have this company cause delay after delay is unacceptable. My Silencer Shop experience was seamless and shipping was swift after approval. Kiosk was a great experience and then the can comes in, you just stop in and grab it. Don't be fooled by the "We ship it right to your door" slogan. It's a bunch of BS!!! read more

Purchasing process was fine, but once ATF approved on 1/7/22 I filled out forms and received a tracking number dated 1/27/22 as label created and to this date 02/09/22 has not been received in USPS system. Emailed-no response, chat not response, called-checking into it and will call back. Guess what no call back-what a surprise. Even contacted Texas shipper and was told package left there on the 02/01/2022. read more

After waiting 15 months to find out I was denied by the ATF, I will receive only 75 percent of my purchase price. They were very helpful in making me believe I would have this in my hands in 7 months. my biggest complaint is that their communication sucks. I was told that they would contact me on two occasions, yet never did. read more

I originally ordered my silencer in September of 2022. The salesman took all my information and told me don't worry we will fill out the forms, verify everything and send to me for signature. They did as they stated. Fast forward to May 26th 2023 9 months later and I get an email. "We were doing an audit on your application and we found an error we need you to sign a new form to get it corrected. The ATF still has not reviewed your file yet so it will not change anything. You will get it real soon. So I decided to read reviews here and I am one of many and it is not an audit performed by them it was rejected by the ATF. I am calling the ATF tomorrow to get the real story. Will most likely be like the rest of the complaints erroneous errors in submission by Silencer Central. My customer service rep will not answer my questions only says I need to sign the form. If I have to start over and wait another 9 months I want a full refund of the tax stamp $200.00 and the Silencer charges. I will use a local company all my friends are using. They already have theirs. P.S. look at their BBB complaints all with the same issue and horrible customer service. Will update once I speak with the ATF. read more

Waited 7 months for a paid in advance Silencer. Finally got an email telling me it was ready, and to stop by say hello and pick it up. I'm stationed overseas so I called and asked them to hold it till I return stateside, no problem they say. I return for a short time, and they tell me there is more paperwork to be processed. It will take a few more weeks! I finally work my way up the food chain, and get to this pompous SOB Ryan, who basically tells me it's my problem because I'm in the military, and I can't have it now, or cancel it and get my money back! Dakota Silencer is a fantastic place, both for Product selection and Customer Service that some of the best I've ever received! I was searching for a .30 suppressor and found the Varminter 3.0. The claims were pretty hard to believe, so I emailed their "Contact Us". I expected to wait and get met with a lot of slobbery sales drivel, but to my surprise the CEO, Brandon, emailed me before the end of the day and gave me very detailed answers to what even I thought were silly, but important to me, questions. After several exchanges (some of which were answered within minutes) I was still concerned about their warranty as that's not normal for this type of product and asked about it directly. The answer was funny and convincing... What if I do something stupid (PRS rapid fire strings) and break it? If you can break it doing that we'll fix it! SOLD!! After more than a year of use, I couldn't be happier with my Varminter 3.0 or my experience with Dakota Silencer. The suppressor is awesome. It's light and significantly quieter than other big name cans some of the guys at the range claim are the best in the industry. Its big plus to me is that it's user servicable, so I can shoot all my .22LR through it, which is a big thing for me. I've also convinced other shooters (it wasn't hard) to get their own Varminters as well. It makes for a spectacularly quiet day at the range!! Now, more than a year after sale, I email their Contact Us... at 4am my time and ask about using it on my friends 300 Win Mag (can't break my toy!!)... and within the hour (5am their time) I got a reply from Brandon again!!! Remember Brandon... the CEO!!! Now that's customer service! I intend to buy another suppressor very soon for my big rifles (swapping from rife to rifle at the range gets old quickly) and it will be another Varminter 3.0 and it will be from Dakota Silencers. Their products and customer service has a customer for life here!! read more

This company is totally WORTHLESS. Customer Service there is none. Management there is none. The level of INCOMPTENTENCE from the lowest level employee to management, including CEO'S is the only thing you will get 100% of each and every time you try to interface with them. "Left hand does not know what the right hand is doing". The employee's that work the sales don't even know the products they are trying to sale. You want false information, excuses by the bucket full, this is the company you want to do business with. Brad who is the head guy in sales is suppose to be the go to guy for all your problems and needs. WASTE of time and effort talking with it. Even his employee's state that he is a complete "AHOLE", which is made clear when you actually do speak to him. "It's everyone's else's and everything else's fault but theirs". Do yourself a favor find another suppressor company to do your business with, you be glad you did. read more
