People who take care of this place are really nice. I find it very peaceful when ever I visit here. Lectures and kirtans go on till 8:30pm then they do puja to end the day. They have nice and delicious langar. We usually visit them during evenings or weekends and have always found a delicious langar to feast on. Overall an amazing place to pray and get some peace of mind in middle of city.

Amazing music with translation in English from Gurmukhi. Lots of folks were here in the evening. I have been to several Sikh temples in India including the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab, India. For a unique moving cultural experience I would recommend to go in the evening after 8pm to experience the music and atmosphere that was very moving. Look forward to returning in the future!

The people, especially in the Langar area, were outright rude and hostile. Their behavior and body language made it very clear that they didn't want you there and that you are not welcomed here. It was shocking and deeply disappointing to experience such unkindness in a sacred space. The Gurdwara management needs to take responsibility and ensure that such rude individuals are not placed in the Langar area, where hospitality and kindness should be the priority. Visiting this place was a complete waste of time, and I strongly recommend avoiding it if you don't want your day spoiled by such negativity.

Because of its location (on top of the hills) and calm atmosphere, many worshippers find peace & tranquility here. I recommend attending services and I also recommend visiting with family on non-busy days to appreciate the gurughar. The sewadars (staff) here are very helpful and very friendly. They all volunteer their time and are not on any payroll. I wanted to give a reply to the negative review by someone named Sara J (if that's her real name). I remember this lady would come to the Gurudwara (temple) regularly a few years ago, not to worship or pay respects but ONLY to eat her fill. She would also pack a bunch of bags-to-go and would also not wash her unclean hands between eating her meals and then would go back for more food. It was due to that unhygienic behavior that the priest and another congregation member asked her politely to clean her hands before meals and between meals so there is no contamination of food. Other worshippers also take food from the same containers. She was so offended by that advice and made a small scene even though she had been eating at the temple for free for months. She gave everyone dirty looks and then walked away disgruntled and was not seen again. The custom in Gurudwaras (Sikh temples) is to first come with a humble attitude. Anyone is welcomed but you should be polite as any guest should be. Worshippers are to clean their hands and feet, pay respects to the holy book inside, give a small donation (if possible) and the community kitchen is there so everyone can sit down in peace and enjoy the food while reciting the hymns from the holy book. That's been the tradition for 100s of years. Sikhs open their hearts and temples so others can also experience this spirituality but some people are always out for a free lunch and are ungrateful for it, like this person Sara J. With a sense of entitlement, she wanted 'free food' and when asked to follow a few simple hygienic rules of the temple, she became angry and concocted this whole story about being targeted and being hit on. It never happened. She did all this as a 'revenge' against the temple and worshippers because she just could not have her way and showed everyone that she was just a big spoilt brat. The priest shared his experience with the congregation after Sara J verbally abused him. I would like to make others aware of this person 'Sara J' as she may also be doing this to other communities that show generosity. Beware of this person.

Since then, Gyani Ji has been our guide and partner in Sikhi and understanding our own connection to God. Sikh Missionary Society shows up for us during our highs and lows. Most recently Gyani Ji officiated our interfaith wedding where we conducted the Anand Karaj before a Christian ceremony. I cannot say enough good things about the family and the mission of Gyani Ji and am grateful for all the goodness the Sikh Missionary Society cultivates in our community.
