One of the highlights is the food service--they often provide lunch and dinner. You have the option to donate or contribute toward the food or any offerings, which is a lovely way to give back. The priests here are knowledgeable and always willing to help. Every visit is peaceful and welcoming, I've visited multiple times :) The temple is home to almost all Hindu deities, ensuring everyone feels connected. The 1 Star is solely for the reasons that women do not tie their hair and leave it falling free…read more Everybody knows the piousness of putting your hair up in the Hindu sense of way. There's a reason!!! A temple is a place of devotion not fashion. Women: put your hair up, tie it up, use a garter or clips to put it in a knot. It's only for a few minutes. Show some value to our scriptures!!!!! The management doesn't do anything cause I've highlighted it for them several times!! They don't want to offend donors! They would rather placate the visitors than speak up to the austere reasons!!!!! One sees women respect the tradition and cover their hair/head at the Masjid, and similarly at the Gurdwara. Why can't we shed our vanity for a few minutes. If the board and the people who lead services can fix this, then they have done their duties to adhering to scriptures in the true sense!

We have visited this temple a few times; twice during Krishna Jayanthi and once during a weekend…read more The temple gets very crowded especially on auspicious days like Krishna Jayanthi. This year (2013), the Krishna Jayanthi was grandiose and very well-organized. At 8.30pm, there was a long line outside the temple, waiting to see the deity. Luckily, the line moves quick (the volunteers help with that) and after passing the prayer hall it led to the parking lot nearby where food was served. Servings are generous and there were booths where you can register to receive their newsletters. I got a beautiful picture of Krishna and Balaram from one of the booths. My only gripe about visiting the temple during Krishna Jayanthi is obviously the insane crowd and the fact that I actually got to see the deity for just 2 minutes after standing in a line for 30minutes. I wasn't entirely satisfied. But definitely take a visit on other days to get a peaceful experience. Some of their events during weekends are well-worth the visit and most of the time they have prasadham.
