Amazing Sikh Gudwara we came to for a wedding ceremony. It's located in a remote part of Riverside with farmlands and nurseries along the route, making for a scenic drive that starts transporting you away from the sleepy suburbs during your journey.
The experience was amazing, starting with appetizers in the large food hall where free vegetarian food is provided and served by volunteers. On the ceremony day we had catered food and there was plenty of room in the large hall for all the guests.
The gudwara is spacious and well maintained, very welcoming to all visitors no matter what your beliefs are.
For non-Sikh guests, you have to cover your hair. There are free bandanas you can borrow right at the entrance. The wedding ceremony is about 2 hours and you will be seated on the floor most of the time until you stand a couple times at the end. The floor is padded making it more comfortable and there are songs most of the ceremony. read more
