For a martial arts school they are very reasonable, $95/month for 3 classes per week. Sifu is a phenomenal teacher & great with the kids. The classes are run very efficiently & the kids follow with respect. It's not one of those martial arts schools that are run like a boot camp. Besides the kids Kung fu classes they also offer adult classes for both Kung fu & Tai Chi. The adult classes I think are 4 or 5 times per week, which you can attend as many as you like. This is definitely a family establishment with a lot of the owners family working here teaching & helping at the front desk. They really make you feel welcomed. During the holidays they have a big party for the kids & families with lots of food, gifts & prizes. If you are looking for quality martial arts training in a friendly environment definitely give them a try. They also have another location in East Orlando near Goldenrod.

After having a good response from the kids, we took the plunge into karate. A major plus about the Eastwood location are instructors. Sensei Dakota has been steadfast and a great instructor for our children. He not only teaches them about karate but about life in general. Our family has built a great relationship with him and the other instructors as our time has continued there. Sensei Alison holds everything together and is up front and honest about the commitment to the program. She's very fair, helpful and dedicated when it comes to making sure the children are where they need to be. We've been to a few different CMA schools for birthday parties and I can honestly say that I feel we've got the best. Sensei's Dakota and Alison and the others are just great and make it feel like a family.

When my son had a tough first class, crying out of nervousness, not only did Master Schmidt help him through it, the other children in the class were incredibly caring as well. However, during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic, the passion Master Schmidt has for teaching became even more clear. He opened up Zoom classes for every student up to 4 days a weeks regardless of what they were paying for before. It was such a blessing to have a physical activity that my son could look forward to and could be his daily grounding during a time of uncertainty. I highly recommend Traditional Martial Arts Center.

The head instructor, a 40-year-old man, is currently dating and moved into his house a 20-year-old student, whom he has been teaching since she was 11 years old. As a parent, I am completely disgusted and heartbroken by this situation. A teacher who grooms a child under the guise of mentorship and then pursues a romantic relationship the moment they reach adulthood is exploiting a profound, lifelong power of imbalance. This is a massive breach of trust, authority, and basic ethics. Worse still is the fact the owner of this school is fully aware and allows it happen under her roof. A martial arts school should be a safe environment built on respect, discipline, and protection. This school has failed on all of these; no respect or protection for the student and definitely no discipline displayed from the teacher and owner. Instead, this establishment has proven it is not safe for young students. I strongly urge any parent considering this school for their children to look elsewhere as this institution has allowed a position of trust to be weaponized.
