No charges for water whenever I needed some. It was spotless and everything I could hope for in a top tier hotel. Next week I stayed in Double Tree Hilton Moda in Kadikoy Istanbul. I went to the counter to ask for water and they sent me to bar where I had to pay for it. The rooms are very small and the A/C no matter where I set the temperature will not go below 22.5c. I like a colder room to sleep. I went to the counter to ask for a fingernail file and they said I have to find a pharmacy. Marriott included a kit in the room. The bathtub shower is stained brown and the bathroom door is delaminating at the bottom from water damage. They also do not provide wash cloths to wash with. Only large towels. Overall I am very disappointed with DT Hilton, especially when they charge more than JW Marriott in Ankara. I will not be back.

He was very knowledgeable in guiding us to get to some of the landmarks which would require us us to go on a ferry ride. He was so detailed we didn't get lost! Lol Hotel is a typical chain hotel. If you are planning to get your room with access to the executive lounge, it's not worth it. Very few selections, almost always nobody there. Stick with just the breakfast. Room is spacious, well appointed and beautiful views! But there's a certain smell with the bed or the beddings but otherwise very clean!

In fact, I kind of find it a little bit overwhelming and truthfully quite gaudy. In fact, when I booked the hotel and showed the hotel's webpage to my interior-design friend, he suddenly aged by 5 years from crinkling his forehead. Looks like the Turkish idea of tasteful design is quite different from its Northern European counterparts. (Actually, this opulence reminded me of over-stylized hotels in Dubai or Abu-Dhabi.) Nevertheless, the amenities and the service here at the hotel were on par with my expectations. In fact, when I walked in to the hotel, I received the warmest welcome from the folks at the front desk. The hotel also features a well-equipped gym with all the machines that you can think of. It also has a decent-sized pool. Suggestion: skip the breakfast, especially when it's not included in your rate. It's nothing to write home about. Flip up the Yelp App instead and go find a nice breakfast place in nearby Karaköy or on Bagdad Street.

Within three minutes of entering our room, we decided to leave. There were some not so innocent stains on the bed. Upon investigation, the front desk man said that the stains were on the runner and not on the actual sheets. As a customer, this was even more concerning if you consider that they're putting something dirty onto something clean. Safe to assume that nothing is clean at all. My fiancé almost immediately had allergic reactions due to the must/mold in the air. 4 stars my butt. Do yourself a favor, spend $20 more and stay at a different hotel. We did, however, get our money back after a lengthy argument.
