He has a website with even more toys not available in the store, so be sure to check out his website, too (and if you order something online you can arrange to pick it up at the shop, just let the owner know). The shop is bright, clean, and very well organized, with fair, reasonable prices, too. So stop by & get yourself some toys - or a unique gift for someone else, because we could all use some more fun & a bit of whimsy in our lives.

Within five minutes of entering the store you'll be screaming "I had that!" as you point at the toys from your nostalgic youth. Not only limited to mainstream popular items such as GI Joes and Star Wars figures, you'll find great items from obscure childhood classics from Toxic Crusaders to Street Sharks (the greatest cartoon show on Earth). Special mention to the owner, a passionate toy lover with a flare for bringing out nostalgic memories while educating you on the history of toy series and entertainment. He made the trip extra worthwhile, as it gave my visit a personal touch. I got three very good condition Street Sharks for the low price of $20. And though I live on California, it is good to know that Dr. Tongue does shipping orders to all over the country. Relive your childhood on this Jawesome toy store.

The selection is halucinagenic, the organization is non-Euclidian, and the sweet old nerd behind the counter knows where everything is. He's a ghost. I found his skeleton hidden behind a stack of Poison Elves and Punjabi edition 2000 ADs. Shopping at Future dreams feels like an adventure. And isn't that the point?

Let's start with the charm. This adorable small bookstore with a hand painted window is just east of Belmont's most popular dining strip. They've got packed shelves, hand written labels on shelves, and the super cute merch items. Book prices are written on the first page. I couldn't possibly browse everything but it seems like they have a wide array as well as some niche items. That said, the organization is a little wild. It's by subject but I personally didn't understand how those genres were laid out and the small labels mean they're hard to find. That said, the helpful staff know their store and are happy to point you in the right direction. But then there's piles and piles of books on the floor - not very accessible. They do put out boxes of free books so they're at least trying to get more inventory moving out.

I understand that loyal regular customers are important to a small business's success. However, it's equally important to ensure that the atmosphere remains welcoming and accessible for new visitors, especially for an event.
