A very challenging office. Rudeness is to be expected when dealing with this office. They treat you like an idiot. The tenant in the unlawful detainer was very experienced at filing habitability complaints, to slow down the legal process, which was very effective when dealing with Rosenberg, who won't go to court, or even serve a three day notice for non payment of rent, unless you have a perfect case. In actual fact, most unlawful detainer actions between Landlord and tenant are settled out of the court room, because there are usually unresolved issues. Landlord rarely collects past due rent, and has to make concessions. This case never got off the ground. read more

Very disappointed... When we met with Sid Rosenberg we were really encouraged that we finally met a competent attorney that wasn't about driving billable hours. In out first conversation Sid pointed out he wouldn't Nickel and dime us. It was $1000.00 bucks and he'd get to work right away. He spoke very confident in the process and it should be about 6 weeks to get possession of the house. After 4 months to get the tenants out I received a bill for $4600.00 dollars. I called his office only to be told he didn't charge me enough and he could have billed us for more. His staff is rude and defensive and will treat you like an inconvenience every time you call. I'm writing this check just to be done with it, but I really feel taken advantage of. Being an investor and needing an attorney I'm really disappointed that it went this way. read more

The eviction Moratorium has ended and concerning the Law Office of Sid M. Rosenberg I would not recommend him. For years we had used his partner Attorney Gary Link who is no longer in the practice. Attorney Link had always been professional, honest and accessible to us. After getting the facts of the case, the cost he quoted us was cost of the service. However, this is not the case with Attorney Sid M. Rosenberg. We assumed we would receive the same ethical service that we received from his long-time partner Mr. Link. We dropped off all documents as requested. Upon review of all documents, we were given a phone interview with Mr. Rosenberg which last about 20 minutes. Since our file consisted of approved California Apartment Association rental documents with the exception of a 3-day notice he said was not acceptable. He specifically told us the cost would be $1,500 if "Uncontested" for one person and $500 if he had to provide an answer. In checking this is approximately what the industry charge. The first line & paragraph of his agreement quotes the same cost of $1,500 titled Typical "Default" Eviction in Sacramento County. If our uncontested eviction is not "Typical" then what is? The tenant never responded and he charged out credit card a total of $3,375. On June 21, 2021 he charged our card $825.00 and again on July 1, 2021 he charged our card another $1,050.00 which was already in excess of the $1,500 we were quoted. On July 15, 2021 our bank notified us of a pending charge of $1,500 from Attorney, Rosenberg. We immediately asked that the payment be stopped. We received a rude phone call the following day from Attorney Sid Rosenberg demanding we pay this amount immediately or he would discontinue processing the eviction. He further went on to mention he does not need to contact us in advance of payments for a case he is handling. If possible, we would give Attorney Sid Rosenberg zero (0) stars. OMG! You cannot find a better landlord tenant office in all of California. I am an eviction coordinator for a landlord tenant firm in Santa Monica, CA. This firm is TOPS! I would know. I have been processing evictions all over the state for 28 years. My job is to coordinate an attorney to match up local cases for each county that come through our office. I then hand them over to our local counsel in the corresponding counties. Out of the entire state and all of our affiliates, this firm IS #1 AND THAT'S A FACT. I have been working with this firm for 12 years now. We call Gary Link the King of Department 88. He has handled HUNDREDS of our cases. I believe there was ONLY ONE CASE OUT OF THE HUNDREDS THAT HE DID NOT HIT A HOME RUN ON. This particular case was defective before it even went to him for the trial, so that wasn't even a loss as far as I am concerned. That is a 99.99% success rate. As far as his staff, Elizabeth has been working side by side with Gary Link for approximately 30 years!! She is the only eviction assistant that has been doing this gig longer than me. I idolize her for her knowledge and experience. She imparts wisdom and kindness to everyone. The rest of the support staff is ALWAYS courteous and helpful. If you are afraid to appear in court as a witness to your own eviction you have filed against a tenant, rest assured. You will feel very peaceful and taken care of by Mr. Link as he guides you through the process. Basically, he does all the work for you. You may be asked to say YES or NO once or twice to the judge if Mr. Link hasn't already settled the matter FAVORABLY for you by talking it through with your tenant. As far as Sid Rosenberg, he is a fantastic litigator. He handles our cases when the tenant files bankruptcy and has handled a lot of other HEAVILY LITIGATED matters locally for us in Sacramento when we obviously cannot be effective on specific cases being that we are in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, having to evict someone is not pleasant business and when you need to evict someone you want that person out as soon as possible. The law offices of Link and Rosenberg seemingly are the number one office in town. However, my experience with them has been one of frustration. I was assigned someone in the office who apparently was way to busy for me. Messages were left and not answered in a timely manner and answers were blunt and unhelpful. it was a very frustrating experience and I would not use them again. read more
