Nobody can figure it out allergy tests negative an sinuses look good they say. Dr Karner listened to what I thought sounds crazy but he was very nice. Asking not just about my medical but about me. Which pretty much leads us to the high volume of stress in my life an I grind my teeth in my sleep like Im eating steak all night lol He was great we are trying a medicine to see if it will help:) He thought outside the box which I like he didn't just move me along an say I cant help you very refreshing. If your looking for a neurologist seek this practice for Dr Karner :)

Similar experience as others. Doctors (Washburn) mentioned aren't engaging and type with back…read moreturned alot it seems. My dad's original doctor abruptly leaves with no notice even though my dad had an upcoming appointment. The replacement didn't specialize in the originals field and when I tried to tell her where the original left, she went on another track and began suggesting medications instead of giving more info on what the previous doctor mentioned or refer me to someone who DID specialize in that. 2 appointments later after more assertively expressing interest in the original doctor's suggestions, my dad gets an appointment with the specialist. As a new patient (to him), the only time you can see him is 8am, they say. On the way to the appointment, a wreck on Independence causes us to be late. I try to call ahead to let them know (about 7:40) but the phones don't work until 8am. Same time as the appointment. I manage to call at 8 on the dot and tell them and the women seems to want to discourage me from trying to make it, but she does say she'll tell the doctor I'm trying to get there. I get there too late. She says she tried to call but the number she reads back to me I've never seen or at least recall slightly. My emergency number was there. I have both phones on me, they just didn't use it. We reschedule for the next day, and they try to imply I should be grateful because they "fit " me in. We finally make the appointment. The "specialist " repeats information the original doctor mentioned and questions about my dad's living situation. Gloomy tone, even though we're past the part about accepting the disease is incurable. We're treating symptoms like the original doctor spoke about. He seemed to have an idea that we thought botox injections would make my dad 21 again. We didn't say all that, but the original specialist suggested it could help with the symptoms (arm rigidity, muscle tone) and we wanted to explore that option. Turns out he doesn't specialize EXACTLY like the original. He botoxes faces not arms so he refers me to a CMC group that does. I let him know how long this process was just to come up with this conclusion, and not once did he apologize for any inconveniences. He only said, "You got misinformation" and continued to downplay any optimism the procedure would work at all. Always circling back to the fact that it's not a cure. Any important information should be given to me as my dad has neurological issues but he only looked at my dad. I understand looking at the patient out of respect but he's not going to execute anything he says. He needs to make sure I understand what he's saying. Didn't look at me unless he was defending the whole sloppy process. Poor listener. No we didn't come to make him 21 again. Yes, as mentioned several times throughout, this procedure is for his arm, not face. If you don't have the right specialist, tell us that 3 appointments ago. It's in the original doctor's notes that this doctor was reading with his back to me. Even if briefly, it's in the notes. I was prepared to not have a problem with this doctor because he just happened to be the last person I encountered and he may not have been aware or even have control over the events, but lack of apology with dismissive AND defensive posture changed my mind. 2 of the prescriptions are somewhat effective, but overall, we got got for 3 appointments.

He ordered labs the first time I saw him and I received a quick and accurate diagnosis, FINALLY! The disease spreads quickly and almost two years had already gone by, so I am very grateful that he knew to test me for certain things -- things that two PC providers and one ENT did not test me for. If he had not tested me, I would have ended up disabled eventually. His nurse is always nice. I have called her many times, especially when I was in more pain than usual. They completed paperwork very, very quickly. What I was diagnosed with is not even in his specialty, really, but he knew to test me for it because it does affect the nerves. I am so grateful for him and his staff! After almost two years of being misdiagnosed, it was a relief to know what I really have, although not a good disease to have. Some doctors don't even know to test you for some things, despite you having ALL the symptoms. Again, I am GRATEFUL!!! Fourth and fifth opinions are sometimes necessary. I'm glad I finally got the right doctor!
