The Body & Soul Clinic is one of those places that, if you weren't paying attention, you'd never…read morenotice. Situated on the fringes of Send near Woking in Surrey, the clinic is housed in a small bungalow, set back from the road. There is a largish wooden sign telling you what it is but, being next to a village hall type place which is far more prominent from the road you tend, for some reason, not to pay much attention. The clinic offer a wide range of treatments for mind and body ranging from traditional massage through to NLP, angel card reading, through to reflexology. All areas of the Clinic appeared clean and hygienic and I had no concerns in this regard. The clinic also offers beauty treatments in addition to the therapies and these are priced on the website and appear in line with established beauty treatment providers in the area. I don't know that I'd bother going here for a treatment, however, as I didn't find the setting that conducive to a relaxing time I rather prefer a more opulent and less clinical setting. Rather than a cohesive unit, the clinic appears to be more of a collection of therapists hiring rooms in the Clinic from which to offer their services. Whilst the Clinic is clearly attracting a certain type of therapist it doesn't have that exclusive or relaxing feel of a spa and perhaps it is this which adds to the clinical feel. I'm split as to whether I'd recommend the clinic as a whole. I had an excellent massage (although neither the massage type nor the therapist is there any more) and a warm welcome but I do think that this is a place more suited to truly alternative therapies rather than the more mainstream spa/therapy offerings. It's not the kind of place where you'd spend a day and has the air of a clinical treatment place rather than a relaxing treat. I suspect that if you find a therapist who works for you this could be a very good place but I do feel that it is therapist dependent and, as such, fails to rate as a day spa.
