What an absolutely terrible company. DO NOT USE. Find someone else. I was cussed at, called the F word multiple times and verbally degraded by SIA's repair technician when I questioned the repairs they supposedly made. I ALWAYS check repairs that are made because it's my name and reputation that's on the line. Well the first thing I noticed was the fact they did not seal the PCM to prevent water from entering the PCM. I took off the 4 screws that weren't even tightened down and the entire cover fell off. Luckily it was on my table too and did not rip the security strip they put on it. So that in itself verifies what I'm saying is true. Secondly they charged me for 2 replacement chips that I do not see any evidence of being replaced. They were the communication chip and power chip. If they were replaced the UV silicone would have been disturbed in some manner and it's all uniformly uniform. None of the UV silicone coating was disturbed so that's proof nothing was removed or installed. I'm sure this company will have some excuse for their actions but their behavior is not justified by any manner. Again I questioned him to provide proof things were replaced and he called me four letter swear words because I opened the PCM up. He was mad because he was caught trying to fraud me and my customer. I'm pretty sure they only did a software update and lied about what they did to charge me more money. My opinion of coarse but I'm rarely wrong. Why else would he immediately cuss and swear and egregiously threaten me? I was respectful the entire time even though he came unhinges. What I find even more disturbing is the fact he told me he NEVER seals a PCM which in the 25 years of working on cars, 14 years of being in business and being an expert in the mechanical trade, I have never heard anyone say such an absurd thing. I have never been cussed at, sworn at and called such filthy things by anyone in my life let alone by a company. I have filed a complaint with the attorney general's office in Illinois and we will see what happens. I am disgusted by the way they treated me. All that because I wanted proof they repaired what they said they did. I am filing a report with the Better Busines Bureau, Consumer Protection and the Business Advocacy Group. I'm furious and now I have to fix my customers PCM that I paid SIA to fix in the first place. read more

I looked long and hard for somewhere to repair my 1991 Dodge ECM. I sent it to three other repair centers who all said it was not repairable (some big name ones). I have long been a service and repair shop owner and know how demanding customers can be and how they expect perfection at an impossibly low price sometimes even expecting miracles. I read many reviews about this place and those that give it a poor rating I suspect were looking for something free or impossible (even the ones that say they were willing to pay the price). There are actually some things that can not be done regardless of the price and running down a repair shop that tells you the truth doesn't do anyone any good. For rudeness and poor customer service I find that customers are expecting something different from what they are offered and say that the service was poor or rude. Too Bad. These people took my unit in sight unseen and told me they would charge to check it out and send it back if it was unrepairable. We didn't have a long chat or discuss the weather. We got business done and moved on. Rude? Nope, business efficiency. They even took to time to quietly listen to my sad story. I did not expect them to be able to repair my ECM but within a couple of days after they got the unit I got a call telling me that it was fixed!!! WooHOO!!! If you sent something here and were not satisfied then I bet you have a lot of bad reviews of other places too. Approach them with no expectations and watch what happens! A GREAT repair service at the lowest price available. Fast. Good. Guaranteed. Inexpensive. In terms of a service shop this place is Nirvana. Too bad they are in Illinois... and not closer to the left coast. read more

BAD SERVICE!!!! BAD REP!!!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The service was handle very poorly. I've confirmed with the rep before I shipped my item, they told me it will take 2 business days. Once I shipped the item I've called pretty much everyday to find out what the status is. Every time I've called they keep telling me same stories saying it will take 4 business days or you didn't speak with certain rep, I even asked to speak to the manager but no phone calls and no one contacted me,...It took them 6 business days and I've asked them to next day air to me, which I got charged too much!!! I was very disappointed with the customer service and they shouldn't advertise the turn around time if they can't deliver what they promise, even though the website indicate 1 or 2 day turn around. The PCM went out on my 2005 Jeep Rubicon. Every repair shop in the St. Louis area told me it is a very obscure part and would cost $1,000 to $1,600 to replace. I found SIA Electronics through an internet search and to be honest was skeptical that they could rebuild my PCM for $128. I read a few reviews, and as always with auto repair, there were a few bad reviews. I took a chance on them and was totally impressed. They repaired my PCM and sent it back to me in a week. I am so glad I saw the ad on EBay. I had been having truck issues for the last 5 month. Went to so many Diesel engine mechanics and spend so much money and still same issue. Finally a mechanic told me my ECM was bad. I was very skeptical about sending someone my ECM but I was at my lucks end and had ran out of money a month ago. So I took a chance a sent it to them. 2 weeks later I received it back and my 98 international is running like a new truck. I am very happy with there work. Contacted SIA (Jennifer) on 11/4/2019 about the problem with my 1993 Dodge Dakota (5.2) PCM. She advised me to ship it to them with a written explanation of the problem. I did so and received a phone call on 11/19/2019 that my PCM had been repaired. The actual cost was less than the estimate that was provided on 11/4. I have lost count how many items I have shipped to them for repair and had. o issues I also furnish customers with there details and not one of them have said they could not help fix there issue I do recall one issue a car dealer I know very well he contacted them and they called him back and spent a couple of hours on the phone doing diagnostic work until he concluded what was wrong I highly recommend sia. I sent my ecm in for my 04 dodge 2500 Cummins, I was honestly a little concerned with sia being 1/2 the price of everybody else. The staff was knowledgeable and my ecm was repaired within 2 days of them receiving it. They Contacted for payment after repairs and it was shipped same day after it was repaired. These folks are GREAT!! I had given up on a 2007 Nissan Altima, when a friend suggested I send SIA the ECU. I got it back in one week, the charge was less then the estimate, which shocked the hell out of me, and as quick as I installed the ECU, the damn car started right up!! Sent my PCM in on 11/8/18 and it was returned on 11/15/18 and I installed the same day. It worked great and has a lifetime warranty. I called them when I sent it in and the lady was absolutely wonderful and we joked and laughed. I was worried after seeing a few bad comments but my experience was excellent. I am going to go out on a short limb here and say the other 2 reviewers have no idea how to work on cars, if the glow plugs arent coming on the car is not running perfect. I have had probably 50ish computers of nearly all makes and models sent here and had a problem once, which they replaced the ECM for me at no extra charge. read more

SIA just fix my ECM for 2003 Dodge Ram pickup truck ECM is no longer available from oem or aftermarket places my truck was missing spark on cylinder number 3 and 5 due to no signal from ECM guys at Sia fix it in couple days I'm very happy excellent job truck runs like new again thank you very much for the excellent service read more
