LLEC owner, Clark, personally went after my son by making fake accusations and when confronted, he…read morewas speechless. We assume since we are young parents that he thought we wouldn't say anything. He plays nice but it's all fake. There is no concern for privacy when it comes to the care of the child. Clark, will talk to you about private manners in the hall with passing parents. Communication between LLEC and the parents is horrendous. Also, this daycare will beg the parents to keep doing reviews multiple times throughout the year. Clark also made up stories about my child's behavior to get free help from the government. When the government evaluation came back, they said there was nothing wrong with the child's behavior and that the teachers need to do a better job. The teachers are nice, but management is terrible and are only money hungry. I regret ever spending my money at this daycare. It is a horrible choice. There is also a high turn overrate amongst the teacher which can be difficult for the students to get into any kind of routine.

My neighbors used him once and said the same thing. Then when I told him we would not be needing his services because we were not happy with the results he said I had no choice that I signed a contract. Bottom line: both our children have been at the Young School all the way until kindergarten, and we…read moreare grateful for their time there. This is a tricky review to write, because one needs to grade on a curve when evaluating childcare in our screwed up educational system. There have been periods of time where the Young School was a frustrating mess, mostly due to issues with staff retention. But... I've done the math and even though it feels like we're bleeding money with their tuition, I'm shocked that they're able to retain anyone for any length of time at all. Their margins must be razor thin. Childcare is just a necessarily expensive service, given the complete lack of subsidies for it. This must make retention an intractable, permanent issue. As we approach the end of our pre-kindergarten run, the most important things stand out: our kids have loved their teachers. They've learned a ton there. They formed potentially lifelong friendships with the other wonderful kiddos. My wife and I have formed friendships with the other parents. We have had lots of quibbles with the school over the years, but in the end, we're grateful for them.

The Chesterbrook Academy on Harrisburg Pike has been a fabulous experience for my three year old…read more He has attended Chesterbrook from the time he was one and a half through today. Because of the outstanding teachers at the school, he can recite his alphabet and count up to 25. They teach a bit of Spanish alongside of the primarily English curriculum. He has experienced art, music, and lots of physical exercise. As a college professor, I am ridiculously picky about having my son in an educational environment where the teachers know what they are doing. I can say, without a doubt, that this is one of the finest preschools in the county. The teachers and principals are superb.

One thing I could say that needs work is teachers being more open to talking to parents/ sharing details about the kids day at the end of the day when being picked up. Seems to be lack of face to face sharing in that case. But we are giving updates through out the day which kinda make up for that!

Highly recommended if you're looking for daycare and a quality education for your child…read more Professional staff and wonderful teachers who are really invested in your child's education and needs. My child loves to go to school and is always looking forward to be there and be with her teachers and her little friends. I like the way the school has an app that you can follow your childs progress throughout the day, and they send out alerts about everything that is going on with your child. Very accommodating for Pre-K as they assist your child in e-learning, a feat which is already hard on school age kids. Lunch is served every day and it's always something different every day. They also accommodate kids with special diets or food allergies. Again, I highly recommend Childtime for your Pre-K and daycare needs.
