Really bad experience with the owner. Went to renew my son after my card expired. He refused to renew us because I disagreed with his cancellation policy. I agreed to follow it but he can't seem to handle people telling him they don't agree with him. Kind of a jerk move to refuse service to a kid because their mom doesn't agree with you. read more

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Shraim's Academy. I came with very little boxing experience, and after a year of training with Coach Ahmed I've grown into a capable and strong fighter. Coach has the unique ability to connect with his fighters, turning sessions into fun but still extremely challenging workouts that focus on proper technique. I've seen benefits from my boxing training carry over into my other sports (horseback riding, softball, basketball, etc.). Shraim's Academy is a great gym to get a workout. I have been working out with coach Amy since early April and have enjoyed every session. Each workout is different and she is able to tailor it to my skill level. There is a great vibe at the gym. My kids and I recently started training here and really enjoy it. We are all beginners and felt very welcomed. I started in the adult muay thai class, my daughter in the teenagers muay thai class, and my 6 year son in the kid's first step boxing. We've loved being able to find a place where the whole family can come and train, for a great value, all while learning valuable skills from great instructors. My 7 year old son has been coming here for private lessons with Coach Amy for about a year and we just love this place! He has learned so much thanks to Coach Amy's patience and understanding of how to help kids with ADHD channel their energy. His coordination, focus and confidence have greatly increased. I have three kids who love taking boxing classes at Shraim's boxing and MMA academy. Before finding Shraim's academy my daughter Ileana was asking for a long time to find her boxing gym. So when I found Shraims Academy three years ago she was so excited of starting it. She has been going there ever since and my two younger sons Jacob and Brandon followed her footsteps. Ileana is attending the 10-14 year age group, Jacob is in 5-9 age groups, and Brandon just joined the academy in January last year. They all love attending their classes and every week look forward in seeing their amazing coaches and learn the techniques of this sport. Since they joined the academy I have noticed amazing changes in all of them. Jacob was scared at first to get punched or stand up for himself, but since he joined Shraim's academy he has been more confident in himself. Coaches Ahmed and Amy teach them how to be confident, strong minded, and disciplined. They encourage and motivate in different ways and give them and everyone in the class personal attention. I was looking to switch up my workouts, which had gotten stale and boring, while learning something new and being challenged. I found the right place in Shraim's. I've done other martial arts, but this is the best mix of both fitness and technique that I've done. This isn't cardio kickboxing where you're just wildly flailing at a bag. Coach Ahmed is going to make sure that you learn the proper technique. You're really going to learn to box. Along with that you're also going to get in great shape. Whether it's Coach Ahmed or Coach Amy, you're going to be challenged. Lastly, it's also a great group of people. If you want to be pushed, you'll be pushed, but if you're just learning everyone will be willing to go at your pace. Shraims is a great gym, and you should go here. Coach Ahmed and Coach Amy are very attentive and will give you a great work out. If you are worried about your first day, don't be; they will only push you as far as you are willing to go. The environment is so great that you will really want to test your limits. I've been going for about 5 months now and I am in the best shape of my life. Boxing conditioning is tough, and is lower contact than the boxing classes which are very focused on technique and proper form. The regular boxers are friendly and very willing to help out newbies. I'm a huge boxing fan and wanted to add something different to my workout. I found this place a couple of years back and haven't stopped going. One of the only BOXING gyms in the area. So many gyms have focused too much on mixed martial arts, and crossfit. Boxing usually gets left out or is replaced with some laughable version of dance kick boxing. Shraims gives you the option of boxing, mixed martial arts, and a little bit of crossfit thrown in. I go to the adult class and find the instructors and students very helpful. They even have a ring for sparring sessions. This place will get you in shape and more comfortable with boxing in no time. I first started training under Coach Ahmed at Shraim's Boxing & Sports Academy 3 months ago with absolutely no idea how to box but eager to learn. I was admittedly nervous when I first walked into the gym but was greeted very warmly by both Coach Ahmed and Coach Amy. I have always thought of myself to be in pretty good shape since I work out and exercise regularly. However, I was completely wiped out after my first training session and instantly hooked on boxing. Ahmed is a great trainer that will push you to your limits but is also very encouraging and helpful at the same time. Amy is also very helpful and knowledgeable.
