The food has been good and we never had any service issues. Today the flat white did get cold pretty quickly but I was chatting so perhaps I took too long. There is a deli counter as you enter the cafe, toilets for customers, and a big central ceiling heater that warms you up on a winter day. There was a dog in a purse inside the cafe so I presume they allow dogs ( perhaps in purses only?).... The place is not large enough really to support this, but that's an owner decision.

We had hardly looked at the menu when a waitress came to take our order so we both ordered the same meal. We ordered BLTs with chips and lattes and the lattes were served immediately and were gone before we got the BLTs. The waitress who served our meals came and placed them on the table without as much as a look or a word to us and disappeared before I could ask for vinegar. I watched as other customers were served and it was the same - no interaction between waitresses and customers. We decided to just eat our meal and leave as quickly as possible but it took some time to digest because the bacon was as tough as old boots and the knives were blunt. Nobody came back to our table to ask if we would like dessert or if everything was to our satisfaction. I won't be returning to Niamh's in the future. There is a good fish and chip shop close by where the food is good and the service is excellent.
