My visit here was very pleasant, but there should be chairs to sit on to watch the videos in the booths.

We've been wanting to see Rocky Horror with a live cast but to see it at midnight at our age is…read morerough, lol. I kept an eye on their upcoming screenings and saw that they had an 11 pm showing on Labor Day weekend which was perfect. We purchased tickets online and got a confirmation email with a QR code. Parking was easy and free. Once inside, we purchased a $5 prop bag which contained a mini squirt gun which was pre-filled with water, part of a magazine, small bag of popcorn, party hat, party blower and medical exam glove. We made our way into the theater which was pretty full. We found seats towards the back where the 4 of us could sit together. The cast performed on the stage in front of the screen while the movie was playing. There were spotlights on them so that you couldn't see the bottom part of the movie. There were a lot more callbacks during the show than there were many years ago when I last saw it. Seating was very comfortable with recliner seating and lots of leg room.

I did not know that Gateway hosted the premiere of Where the Boys Are. I only found out because I…read moreheard it from the author who wrote about the making of the movie. For all of the times I have been there I might have sat where Connie Steven's sat. They did an over haul of this theater and I'm not sure if it's for the better.Sometimes leaving history alone is where it should be. My friend and I like coming here because it isn't crowded, the popcorn tastes great, and we can see an oldie but goodie or something a mainstream theater isn't interested in showing.
