As someone with documented disabilities and who relies on a service dog for medical support, the tone and escalation of these communications caused significant stress during an already difficult situation. Well, in good faith I decided to not ignore it as it stays on your permanent record, no need to have something come back and bite you later in life. I ended up slacking on responding to the violation and of course a $300 late fee was added. Ouch. Called up Mr. Dastrup, he got back to me the same day. Discussed the ordeal and what to do even though I had just moved out of the state. He represented me, showed up in court on my behalf twice and was able to get the ticket dismissed after getting the fine reduced by about 1/2 of the original amount, with the late fee taken off. After court and attorney fees I ended up paying about what the original ticket would have cost me, although with better piece of mind knowing the ticket would be dismissed and no point added with the completion of the five dollar traffic school class to keep my insurance rate from increasing. Beyond any phone calls he has a pretty easy online system for messaging and passing along any needed documents and is attentive.
