We got married at Shortflatt Tower this June. From the minute we drove up to see it last January we fell in love with this absolutely magical place and on the day it certainly didn't disappoint. The venue is beautiful the grounds are amazing with lots of individual touches possible if you are planning a wedding here. The accommodation is perfect you are able to relax with all you close family around. The rooms have been thoughtfully decorated and everything is a really high standard. Wonderfully comfortable beds and the log fire in the keep was brilliant. Octavia and Jono were great always there for anything we needed but not at all in the way. We also used the spa and loved the reflexology. Great to have the chance to be pampered in luxurious surroundings. I loved how we were able to personalise our wedding which was totally down to the philosophy Octavia and Jono employ. This place will always hold a special place in my heart and we will definitely be back to stay again. Come and stay if you can! read more

We stayed here in July for 5 nights for a special family holiday, with three generations ranging from 10 months to 82 years old and all 6 grandchildren together for the first time. It was a pleasure and a privilege to stay in this fabulous place and we were all made to feel very welcome and at ease. The children and adults thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the house and the garden and we immersed ourselves in the history, comfort, beauty, tranquility and the grandeur of our surroundings. It felt like stepping into another world, the children thought they were staying in a fairytale castle that was hide and seek heaven. We enjoyed a lovely, celebratory meal in the formal dining room, using outside caterers, organised with the help of Jen at Shortflatt. We relaxed in front of the log fire in the Keep, played family games in the walled garden and created a lot of magical memories in this amazing place. We stayed at Shortflatt for a company weekend in December and what a wonderful weekend it was. The Tower oozes character, the gardens, walks and wildlife are well worth experiencing. The Hedley-Dents are very welcoming and the spa.. WOW. We used the spa during our stay and I have visited it three times since. It is the ultimate five star spa experience. I have visted many spas in my travels and none have come close to the standard of treatments offered here. The staff are all friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The hammam is an experience like no other. I am completely hooked on the visible brilliance facials and can recommend the spa as a the perfect way to de-stress and relax. The facilites are luxurious and no expense has been spared to make your experience memorable. It is a place ideal for grown-up families to spend time together. read more

Six of us went to Fullerton Place for a pamper day at the end of March, as a kind of leaving do for Sandra who was retiring. We had a great day; the hammam is a unique experience, the other treatments were excellent, the setting is spectacular and the staff could not have been friendlier. The sun shone (not that common in Northumberland in March), we lounged in the hot tub and drank champagne. A perfect way to relax and a wonderful send-off for Sandra. Highly recommended. read more
