We stayed here in July for 5 nights for a special family holiday, with three generations ranging from 10 months to 82 years old and all 6 grandchildren together for the first time.
It was a pleasure and a privilege to stay in this fabulous place and we were all made to feel very welcome and at ease. The children and adults thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the house and the garden and we immersed ourselves in the history, comfort, beauty, tranquility and the grandeur of our surroundings. It felt like stepping into another world, the children thought they were staying in a fairytale castle that was hide and seek heaven.
We enjoyed a lovely, celebratory meal in the formal dining room, using outside caterers, organised with the help of Jen at Shortflatt. We relaxed in front of the log fire in the Keep, played family games in the walled garden and created a lot of magical memories in this amazing place.
