The place is small and only 2 people can be taken cared of at a time, but if you go at certain times you won't need to wait. (You'll have to become a regular at this place to find that info for yourself ) The 2 barbers here welcomes everyone's and are skilled at what they do. Tell them what you want and they'll cut your hair the way you like. If you're not happy and you want more trimmings and cutting, they'll do it for you until your satisfied. If you like getting the typical fohawk, trim, haircut, or shave, they can do it for you. Haircut starts at £9 and if you're a student with a card it's £8. These guys enjoy what they are doing and take pride with what they do. Since I'm a regular, I've gotten to know them so it's always nice to get my haircut. Even if they are busy and tired they always have a big smile on their face and ready to welcome you!

This is a great barbers which I really couldn't fault on any front. What I've found with a lot of…read morebarbers shops since my teens is that they are often great except lacking in one crucial aspect. Either the barber is irritating and antagonistic, he/she is ridiculously rough with your scalp or it's insanely overpriced. Thankfully, Richmond Barbers doesn't succumb to any of these pitfalls. The service is friendly, unimposing and give you a quick, decent haircut. The mood inside is welcoming and chilled out with nice music playing in the background. When I was in I was seen to within about ten minutes and it only cost about £5 which I thought was very reasonable. If I lived closer to Richmond Barbers I'd certainly use it frequently and I recommend it without question.

And I needed this to be local. This is exactly what I wanted. The lady that owns the shop is professional and very friendly. Her shop is clean and welcoming. Note the decorations are functional but not clinical. It is a pleasure to encounter a hairdresser that does your hair without the 'banter' and 'anything for the weekend' forced conversations. That is important to me. She takes good care and has advise about hair care. she has got products you can buy from here but she will not push sales. I am used to pay hairdressers in cash, so here I do the same - I don't know if she takes cards. But remember that the nearest ATM is at Kirkgate Shopping Center about 10 min walk. From my first visit to my most recent, I've been given the warmest of welcomes and excellent service! The folks there offer a variety of services including hot towel shaves, facials and Indian head massage but the haircut is their staple! From a consultation on what you'd like to the end product, you won't leave disappointed. I first booked a hot towel shave to be done by Graeme and as I'd never had one before he talked me through the service and after a few more visits, it was time for a haircut, going from barber to barber for a while had taken its toll on my confidence of allowing someone new to cut my hair but Graeme, asked me what style I'd like, how I'd had it cut in the past etc and he gave me a haircut that I was thoroughly happy with! Given that's it's a fairly high end place. At under £10 for a beard trim, I expected to be in and out the door without much attention. The reality was quite the opposite. Got plenty of advice and guidance (which I really do need) and certainly look a lot smarter now (I think anyway). I'd planned to only visit as a one-off, but suspect I'll be back again soon.

They always provide a warm welcome, and take both appointments as well as walk-ins. I have used them for the last 2 years, and have never left dissatisfied with my haircut. The price for a basic student cut is £7.50, and so there's no close shave in the wallet department. The interior is small but stylish, and with the norm being two staff on at a time, there is hardly ever a wait. Definitely worth a visit if you want a swift and professional haircut.
