I was told it would be up to 8-12 weeks until receiving the products so I told them I'd have to return to Ohio for it to just give me a couple of weeks notice. I ended up getting a call that they wanted to install the next day after only 3-4 weeks! That was fast! But I wasn't able to get back there that quickly and had to make arrangements for someone else to let them in. My not getting to be there I have no idea how it looks or works. According to my tenant, the sliding door wasn't shutting properly or locking and the paint needs another coat or 2. I called Empire and they went out at my tenants convenience and fixed the door/lock. Awesome service! Great pricing. And we will see how the quality holds up after a winter and a summer in Ohio. I have a great feeling that Empire being a family business will only be a phone call away if needed and I love supporting those businesses! These are the only pics I have so far. I just noticed there's no screen in pics so I'll have to make sure there is, but something tells me empire has done it right. I just didn't get the final pics. I will do business with them again on other condos I have and I will recommend them!!!!

John Talkington sat in his truck and surfed the internet the ENTIRE time. David cut my doors crooked, gauged the trim, used different hinges on the doors, did not measure properly before making cuts, hung the doors too far inward and some of them are so tightly hung in the jams that they bounce back when gently closed. He cut a brand new door with out measuring and I ended up buying a new door. I am left with alot of repairs. John didn't do final walkthrough. We paid the bill less $100.00 for "heartache". David did a cartwheel in my living room. He took breaks every 20 minutes. It took him 33 hours to hang 7 doors. He left screws all over my house and driveway. He banged one of the doors into my antique cabinet and also gauged places on my wall.

This is my review of Ron Holmes dba Avon Bay construction. I contracted with Ron in June of 2021…read moreto rebuild brick steps and to install a stamped concrete walkway. We were satisfied with his work on the steps. However, when he poured the concrete it rained. He should have known by the forecast that it was going to rain. He did not come prepared to protect the job. As a result the stamped concrete was terrible. The concrete was spalled in many places, it had pock marks from rain drops. Ron also tried to double stamp areas. We told him we were not satisfied and wanted it be ripped out and redone. His solution was to offer to do an overlayment. We did not feel that would last in Ohio winters and that it would fail. He then offered to redo if we paid him more money. He stopped communicating with us. I sued him in small claims court for the amount of money it cost us to hire another contractor. Ron never showed up to court. I presented my case including photos of the shoddy work and judgement was in my favor. Subsequently, Ron has ignored the courts request to show a financial statement and a motion to show in court. He currently has a Bench Warrant for his arrest in the City of Mentor. And I have learned that he has other warrants in the area. DO NOT HIRE HIM!
