Here's why: I placed an order on a friday afternoon, but called immediately after because I noticed I made a mistake in ordering. I was told that I needed to email michele@michelefoods.com to make the changes. When I emailed, I requested a reply confirming that the changes were made. I also sent an email direct through their website just in case mine was sent to their spam folder. Monday morning, I get a call from Keisha explaining that she received an email from me wanting to change my order. (Hmm, the voice sounds oddly enough like the one that answered on Friday, but told me to email instead of helping me right then and there). The promotion I was taking advantage of (on their website) was to buy 3 bottles and get one bottle of honey creme syrup for free. Being that I entered my order incorrectly, I asked her to send me 3 bottles of honey creme & "the last bottle as butter pecan" (thus making my order 4 bottles total: 1 butter pecan & 3 honey creme). She quickly replied, "The free bottle is honey creme, not butter pecan." I said, "ok...it comes out the same, since the other 3 are honey creme." She started getting short with me and explaining how the free bottle is honey creme. So I said yes, I understand, but there are 3 honey creme bottles on the order. We went in circles for a good 5 minutes til I had to break it down in almost these exact words: "Bottle #1 is Butter Pecan. I will pay for it. Bottle #2 is honey creme. I will pay for it. Bottle #3 is honey creme. I will pay for it. Bottle #4 is free and is automatically honey creme." It took her a second...then she said, "ok. we can do it that way." Ummmm... its the same thing when you change the bottle numbers around.... Anywho, during that phone conversation, I asked for an email confirmation of the change before hanging up. Order was placed Oct 30, phone call took place Nov 3 & I still have no confirmation. I've been checking my spam folder more religiously as well. I've also emailed a couple times asking if there is a tracking number because these were not shipping to me (I actually placed 2 orders same day--one placed correctly, both not shipping to me). I'd rather not call the recipient saying...hey, I sent you a surprise gift, did you get it? So its officially 12 days after the initial web order, with no tracking number. I don't see any refunds on my credit card either, so I sure hope the items are there. I'll find a way to bring it up in conversation later with my friends...so lets see if they mention random syrups finding a way to their home. I have 90 days, I believe, to do a credit card dispute, so I'll take that route if I have to. I've seen the syrups sold in a few different southern CA markets, so just go there if you would like to try this stuff. Based on this company's website, you should be able to find their products at: Wal Mart, Super Target, Albertson's, Kroger (includes Ralph's & Food 4 Less), Safeway (includes Vons & Pavillions)
