From the little things like a day or two before every court date, getting an email letting me know where to be/what time/what was going to happen, to being presented all options, and being given his professional opinion...and personal if I'd ask. Showed up on time and ready to each and every court date. The one time he had to sub, he informed me prior. There were no surprises. I'm EXTREMELY satisfied with the outcome of my case and his conduct. I hope I never need this man again I promise but if ever you find yourself in a situation and need a lawyer you can count on, he did not disappoint...pay the man!

I wanted a post-nuptial agreement drawn up. I was informed via email that there is a $175 consultation fee. Totally fine, however, I had a few clarifying questions about if the fee is applied to the work and also the overall cost of drawing up a post-nup. I was then told by Sam that he could take a phone call (for free) to discuss. Great! However, then while on the phone, it was clear that he was unhappy and uncomfortable with taking the call. While on the call he appeared frustrated and annoyed with my questions, acted as if I had done something wrong for asking questions, and there was even a condescending and demeaning tone for most of the discussion. When I asked how much experience he has with drawing up pre/post-nups I was told with an air of superiority, "Let me put it this way. I was the presiding judge over all family law for several years." I'm not sure why he felt the need to then repeat this information at another point in the conversation, likely his own arrogance. Turns out he has only done about a dozen pre/post-nups, which he admitted on the call. He also felt the need to tell me twice that he did not need me as a client and he couldn't care either way if I moved forward with his services. Great way to draw in new business. He then chided me for asking clarifying questions about costs--questions anyone would have. The whole thing left me wondering why he offered me a phone call in the first place if he was so unwilling to participate. I didn't ask for a call, I asked a few clarifying questions and then he offered the call but then treated a potential client with disgust and derision. Needless to say, I did not move forward with his services. I would strongly encourage anyone to avoid this lawyer, especially if you're a woman.
