Tiny shop filled with leather boots and shoes. Got a pair of shoes while I was here and really…read moreenjoy them. The leather is relatively thick and stiff, so they do take some time to break in (not the most comfortable straight-out-of-the-box). However, once broken in, they wear really well and I can easily wipe and polish them back to a good shine. I think they have a reasonable selection of styles, from minimal/modern black ankle boots to more decorated brogues in fancy leather colours like teal and purple. I did get service in English when I visited, which was extra helpful.

I was in Rome for over two months studying abroad the past fall. For the last few weeks of my trip,…read moreI tried looking around Rome for a good pair of boots that were decently priced. I found a gorgeous pair from Posto Italiano for 168 euros (232 dollars). I initially wasn't going to get them because of the price, but after looking around at Aldo and Steve Madden (the kind of stores I would normally get boots from - decently priced, decent quality), their boots were around the same price. I love these boots and have gotten a lot of compliments on them. I've worn them almost every single day for almost 5 months now - I live in Chicago for most of the year for school and they've lasted through one of the harshest winters.

This store "customized" their Buffalo leather belts for me for my waist and specifications on where I wanted the belt holes. They should last 5 years, at least I hope so. Cost same as Macys. The clerk was very nice, spoke as much English as she could, and helped me try on a few shoes in my size, which is 13 American. Not easy to find in Europe! I wouldn't refer to this shop as "luxury goods" -- although they do have a good selection of shoes…read moreand sandals. The real issue is whether you actually want to purchase from a shop with such a terrible culture and attitude. Having visited two different store locations, I was genuinely shocked by the blatant rudeness of ALL staff members when simply asking to try on a pair of shoes -- just one pair, not multiple pairs (which really shouldn't matter anyway). The staff response was appalling -- especially at the Via dei Giubbonari location -- where the attitude was dismissive, aggressive, and honestly quite disturbing. I have never experienced such hostility in any shop in my life. The behaviour was so extreme it actually felt intimidating. Thankfully they didn't have my size in stock because after that experience there was absolutely no way I would spend money there. I think to shop there - means you are disproportionaly desperate for footwear!!! A truly awful experience.

I had no problem whatsoever here. I think word finally got to the owners about their customer…read moreservice because when I got here, everyone was super-friendly and accommodating. It also helps if you do your homework and figure out what your Italian feet size is. I'm a size 8 1/2 in Canada, that means that I could be a size 38 or 39 Italian. Whatever models they have on the floor, especially in the sales section, the price tag will include the sizes they have left in stock (i.e 37, 39, 40) in that particular model. Since they were clearing out their summer stock to make room for their new incoming winter selection, I was able to snap up some deals on some super comfy yet stylish cork-bottomed summer sandals. They were a lifesaver during my trip when there were days which were too hot for sneakers yet still protected my feet from the rigors of Rome's cobblestone streets. The quality of the shoes here is very high. I'm sure if you look after them properly, they will last you a very long time.
Location: Via Nazionale, a short walk from Repubblica…read more Shoes: They have a vast selection of footwear, the majority of which is beautiful. You can tell simply by looking at the shoes that they're top quality, and most are made in Italy. I bought a pair of beautiful flat sandals that were made in Spain. Is this a huge deal? No, I should have checked the label - but regardless, they are high quality. Service: I've given up on getting good service here. Honestly, I think that if you're not native to Rome or Italy, you automatically have a scarlet T on your forehead. You can speak to them in Italian and do cartwheels while you're at it - they don't give a crap. Anyway, the guy who served me could barely force a smile and barely said five words. Apparently service declines on Sundays. OK then. Price point: I would say that their prices are on par with what you pay in a North America for a pair of high end shoes. Except the quality here, is probably ten times better.
