He charges per the price the product cost you originally at the boutique not by the actual cost to repair. Complete hack. I dropped my belt at the location in Boca Park after they estimated the repair to be $130. After few days I called to see the status and was told that the price for repair will be $400 instead. A new belt cost $500 which is made in Italy. Now I have to wait a week to get it back. This business used to have dignity. Not anymore. Will never use the Again. read more

Had them replace the rubber heel on a pair of loafers $55 (overpriced) then asked what would it cost to have a strap repaired on one sandal $85 The sandals cost me $30 the gal replied then just buy a new pair it cheaper... My pink Balenciaga designer bag was looking really, really worn and rough around the edges, its gorgeous shade faded from years of use and abuse. I called the Balenciaga shop to see if they could recondition my bag, and they told me that they would send it out to Shoe Lab. Being a smart consumer, I took note of this information and looked up Shoe Lab myself. I'm glad I did, because I ended up paying less than HALF of what Balenciaga quoted me for the same job at the same place! And all I had to do was cut out the middle man. Shoe Lab is located in a warehouse and I was a little nervous leaving my $2,600 bag, but this place is the real deal. It cost a few hundred dollars and my bag looks BRAND NEW. Pink Balenciaga bags (as well as white) are notorious for fading, but my bag looks just like it did the day I brought it home from the boutique years ago! The dye job is incredible. I wish I had taken some "before" photos to compare with the "after," but I squealed with delight when I picked up my bag! My finished bag was handed to me wrapped in a sealed plastic bag inside a larger white paper shopping bag with proper handles. This made me feel like they treated my designer handbag with care. It's the little things that really matter! The biggest downside is the turnaround time -- it took close to three months to get my bag back, but it was worth every second! Ok first the bad - they took just this side of forever. They were dropped off to be dyed in January and were not ready until the first week in June (however I didn't pick them up until August so clearly I was not in a huge rush) so if you need a very fast turnaround you may not get that - we were originally told three weeks. The good - 100% worth every second of the wait, just check out the before and after photos and see for yourself. I've practically got brand new 70s vintage Frye boots. I have taken luggage to be repaired, which went great handle is still working well for many years ago. Also, I just recently had two pairs of shoes stretched. I don't believe that they were stretched enough for me, but I will be taking them back to have them re stretched, the service is great. I really wish I had a before picture, but just imagine one of the hardware pieces broken at where the opening is... literally a portion of the metal gone, rendering the strap useless. For reference, it's a Givenchy Micro Nightingale, which is discontinued and the brand doesn't sell extra straps. Anyway, I had that broken piece, and the bag had been previously repaired at a different store (out of state and clearly not as well).... I had been looking around town for some place that could just solder the pieces together, I didn't think places could remake the handle bc it's so oddly shaped and specific to the bag. I brought the purse in, Adam (I think?) and another guy from their team (I'm sorry I never got your name!) looked at it and said they could make an entirely new custom piece. This was great news to me bc the previously repair just just involved welding the metal, which made the strap permanent... until it broke of course. Got an estimate for $165 and about 1-2weeks of work time. A lot cheaper than quicker than buying a new bag altogether or getting thing repaired through givenchy I received a call 5 days later from Gina saying it was ready to be picked up! I went the next day, Gina was the one who checked me out. The repair is more than I imagined, I am so impressed and thankful!!! Wonderful customer service, speedy and excellent work!!! The Shoe Lab gave my Loubountins a second life! I heard that people at the Show Lab were great at restoring and fixing high end shoes and purses. So I brought in what I thought was going to be a nightmare for them to restore and repair. My Lady Highness heels were in need of sole re-lacquering and leather restoration. They've obviously been through a lot so I was worried it was going to take a long time and a lot of money to get my shoes into good shape. I was quoted $240 cost that included fixing the leather, repainting the sole (which by they way, they sand down around the stamp and repaint with original Christian Louboutin lacquer), and cost to ship back to me. They also gave me a turn around time of 3 days. I was impressed! Here's the reason for the 3 stars, although I would give more of a 3 1/2 stars, and not 4 or 5. I was told it would be done in three days (by Wednesday) but somehow they "ran out of the lacquer and had to reorder." I called in 6 days after dropping my shoes off and still no word. The next week they "remembered" to call me and told me that the paint came in I finally got a call back Saturday saying the shoes were done and they would be shipped the same day. It was shipped via UPS I finally got the shoes 2 1/2 weeks after I dropped them off. The woman who helped me throughout this process seemed disorganized. For a shop that's dealing with $1k+ worth of merchandise per customer I feel they need be more professional or at least on top of their game. The lacquer is almost perfect! Although I know one heel stem is never gonna look the same I would say their work was great. Not perfect but great. The scratches on the leather uppers magically disappeared too! I'll probably come back with other items from my closet that I need to repair but I'll know next time what to expect. read more
