I had nothing but thought stuff happens and gave him a chance. Said he was on his way. Did not see him or hear from him and it is now 5:15pm. Completely unacceptable. I get stuff happens. Make a 10 second call or 5 sec text but nothing. Don't bother with there guys with no reviews. Find someone that is actually reputable and reliable.

It's a mostly…read moreflat room and the roof at the time was leaking along the edge where the 'tar' was buckled and not right. We decided on a shingle roll type coverage. The work was done quickly. First problem - first heavy rain started coming in the LR! The worker 'forgot' to caulk the skylight?!?!! The next year my son is up there cleaning off the roof of leaves and such and finds a 12 inch cut in the middle of one of the rolls of shingle material! This was cut from a knife - clean, not a branch hitting the roof or anything. I call the owner out who 'patches' it and tells me they will come back and repair it properly after the winter. Fine. I reach out this summer and crickets. He will not call me back, not fix the roof, etc. DO NOT USE

Despite our best efforts, this company still continues to gaslight its paying customers. We did try to reach Tyler and crew about very urgent issues and we were blocked not only by phone, but from Facebook as well where they openly bashed us. Tyler's company sold us a garage, but refused us garage doors. They did put up a firebarrier as per code but smashed bugs were left on it, and they did it in a way no company should install drywall(see pictures, the ceiling still needs done to be up to code). Our soffit was falling in on our peak after four months and the roof was leaking. Unfortunately, we also had to settle for siding despite asking from the beginning for stone veneer and matching siding. The siding they did install after months of begging them to finish this project (because it was getting cold and our valuables were left in the open) was mismatched. I even had to ask them to switch parts of siding so it matched decently. Many other parts were randomly thrown on the garage and still have error today. Also, the trim for the doors has begun sagging and buckling. We paid Jacob F. from Tyler Shively contractings crew to run HVAC to our bonus room only for it to be left unfinished sitting in our crawlspace. We have since hired a local company to finish this job. With parts and labor, this cost was a bit over $800. We expected this to be done by Jacob as getting the HVAC to actually work was clearly part of the expectation. Without having this done, that room reached 43 degrees F last winter, which is obviously unable to be lived in. Unfortunately this is all just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, and due to all the bashing, blocking, gaslighting, and being ignored we no longer have any desire to let this company near our property to correct issues and prefer to use other contractors that we know will do the job correctly. I'm genuinely disappointed with my experience with Tyler Shively's Contracting. In my experience, the project we agreed upon was never fully completed, and the work that was done left parts of our home not up to the city's code requirements. Because the job was abandoned unfinished, we have now had to spend thousands of our own dollars to correct issues and complete work that was already part of the original agreement. Despite multiple attempts to get clarification and next steps, my calls went unanswered, and I never received an explanation for why the job was left incomplete. On top of that, a set of our keys were never returned after the work stopped, which has left us feeling uncomfortable and concerned about our home's security. What has made this situation even more frustrating is how customers are addressed on the business's Facebook page. Based on what I've seen, responses have been unprofessional and often berating, which only adds to the disappointment. Overall, I cannot recommend this contractor based on my experience. read more

I was going to get multiple quotes but due to the lack of timely communication from other contractors I went with Heartland! The bathroom was tiled and grouted it turned out even and Symmetric. Very pleased with how it turned out There was an opening between the bedroom and bathroom left over from the removal of a small closet. The new wall installed was finished to match the texturing of our bedroom! Lastly, we needed a new doorway cut out in our bedroom wall for a closet. The doorway is very nicely finished, clearly he took time on the installation. My only complaint is there was no threshold installed but as it is a closet door that's not a big deal. The thing I am most pleased about is there was some pre existing drywall damage in the bathroom. It was near where the new wall way getting installed. The damage was a 3" gap along the wall and ceiling. To my surprise that got repaired courtesy of Heartland. I was not expecting this to get repaired as it was not there during the initial quoting process. While getting a little extra drywall repaired may seem like something to be shrugged off, I think it attests to the overall character, and work quality that that Heartland offers. I would definitely call him again should I need any more work done!
