Forget everything else around, the fact that…read morethis is a refurbished pub so alcohol is available as well as a private shisha area in the back, I'm a happy chappy! The staff have always looked after me (most obvs because I was like their weekly bringing a gang with me each time lol). Their food is lovely and shisha is BOOM. It's the only place where parting with my money is okay for the experience - considering how expensive one is in Central London. From Irn Bru to Skittles, they've got a crazy range of flavours and so expect this place to always be busy. The sooner you get here, the better. Oh and I went here for New Years since they held an event, I danced my socks off in the later hours at this but it was so packed, my granny self probably can't handle it anymore :D

Ever since my trip to Marrakech I have developed a new appreciation for a good tagine so having the…read morechance to visit this newly refurbished restaurant/ shisha bar was great. I went there on Saturday afternoon for dinner. We had the lamb and the kofta tagines, the kofta was amazing, the lamb was ok but felt a little bit under seasoned. As sides we got the dolma and the calamari. The dolmas melted in your mouth and were pretty good (served warm as they should be). The calamari was a bit harder to chew so as a Greek person I would rate it ok but nothing great. The side sauce the starters came with was great though. After the food we decided to try the cocktails. I had the Guilty which tasted like alcoholic dessert, so right up my street, and I also tried the fireman, good for whiskey drinkers bit not really my cup of tea. In terms of atmosphere I think the restaurant tries to be more posh than it is but the massive screens with the football on everywhere you look are incongruous with the atmosphere they are trying to create. There is also a semi- outside area for shisha which feels more Moroccan but it was full of football fans and smoke. In general I think it's good enough but maybe not as authentic as it could have been and it could do with a few more authentic Moroccan dishes in the menu.

The only reason it does not have 5 stars since they did not offer the "20%" of food which was posted on tell for checking in. The other advice I would have is to have more staff, since they did not come often to change coals or take orders.

This was followed by a good Moroccan mint tea which was just like my Grandmother used to make. The food is very authentically Lebanese/Middle Eastern (I'm from the Middle East originally). The shisha was also really good, about £8-10 cheaper than central London and much smoother. They do the coals properly just outside the restaurant. The interior of this place is decorated richly (perhaps not to everyones taste) as well as plush and comfortable. Service was fantastic and the reason this review ultimately gets five stars. Every single server we had had a great attitude. This made our Friday night after a long week at work. If you enjoy authentic Lebanese cuisine, great service and shisha done properly - this is a great place to spend an evening without Central London prices. I went expecting a lot less but was pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be returning.

We ordered the chicken biryani and an order of fries. Chicken was tender and flavorful and the rice was fluffy, tender and perfectly spiced. Service was efficient and friendly enough. It was a Saturday night, party of 3 and we got seated almost immediately, the place was busy and that gave me a good sign that it would be a good place. The music was on the louder side but not enough to have me scream to my friends across the table, it was typical Indian, very enjoyable and catchy. Our waitress was really nice and she came to take our order in a timely matter. We ordered the Lamb, we had chicken, rice, garlic naan bread and a yogurt dish that I can't remember ... everything came in cute little plates and containers. The food didn't take long to come, they have a really big drink menu so lots to choose from, they do have a small section of non alcoholic drinks as well and this is always a small plus for me, my friends had beers and I had a melon mock-tail which was so refreshing and good. We were so hungry, we ate so fast and even ordered more rice. The food was amazing and the price was average of most Indian places in London. Really enjoyed this place, and it seems like it may become a regular for me!!

It was always lovely to come here in winter when it was cold, they had patio heaters so it was really cozy. The best thing about this place is they have ice pipes for their shisha's, this really enhances the flavor of the tobacco. The first string of restaurants we headed to were all closed (save for Dominos, which of course I only eat at when someone 'makes' me) and just as my boyfriend was about to pass out from hunger/murder me we hit upon Momtaz. I am not sure but I think this used to be a Southeast Asian fusion restaurant. Anyway, now it's a Lebanese restaurant and I really wanted it to be good to (a) make up for me being terrible and (b) prove to my New Yorker boyfriend that not all English restaurants absolutely suck. Thankfully it succeeded on both counts. We started with stuffed vine leaves and baba ghanoush. The vine leaves were wonderful - fresh, soft, tangy - the best I have had in a long while (I really need to stop buying them from supermarkets). The baba ghanoush also tasted great - it seemed much more related to aubergine than other versions I have had! Afterwards I ordered soujok and my boyfriend got a lamb shawarma sandwich. The soujok came with cooked tomatoes and was solid and tasty. The lamb shwarma was also flavourful, especially with a bit of lemon squeezed over it. It's worth pointing out that these two dishes were £4 and £3.50 respectively, which I thought was great value (proper main dishes are about £9). Dessert was, naturally, a bounty milkshake. I am SO happy there is somewhere doing milkshakes near Norbiton Station, I need to try all the flavours IMMEDIATELY. I can see this becoming a serious and great problem for me in the months ahead! Overall, delighted to try somewhere new and find it so enjoyable. This shisha cafe part also looks nice and of course smells great.
