I really, really, really hate gyms. I'm always going to hate gyms. That much is just a universal…read morefact that cannot be changed. I had a membership to Cole Harbour Place for a little over a year and I probably went regularly for about four months and then never again. Such is life. Still, as far as gyms go, I really did appreciate the CHP experience. The membership was crazy affordable as a result of a employee program, the staff on site are extremely friendly even at the ungodly hour of the morning when I'm essentially a crossbreed between a harpy and a mistreated rhinoceros, the range of equipment satisfies everything from 'getting ready for summer' to 'HULK SMASH! HULK MAKE MUSCLE! HULK EAT YOU FOR BREAKFAST!', and the number of machines on site were usually pretty good at handling the volume of people coming in. But of course, that's just the gym portion. There's also a hockey rink, a pool, a library, and a ridiculous amount of classes all held on site. So if you're a better person than I who can actually tolerate indoor exercise, Cole Harbour Place has got you covered for pretty much whatever you're into. Jut watch out for Hulk. He gets carried away.

It's nice that it has a bar and you can drink while you get your service done, this was a long overdue option in Halifax that I'm glad is available now. I don't usually bother to write reviews for a pharmacy as it's often just an in-and-out and you're…read moredone kind of deal, but this one was so surprising I had to log in here immediately. I used this pharmacy for the first time because my vet sent my pet's medication there. There was a bit of delay sending the prescription (vet was busy), so the Medicine Shoppe said they would call themselves and inquire. There was no need for them to do that, but it was a nice bonus! Then they didn't have the flavour the vet had requested, so we went through the flavours available until we found one my pet would love (staff was very entertained haha). When we went back the next day, the prescription still wasn't ready. We were fine with waiting around 15-20 minutes, but instead the staff (Mo) offered to DELIVER the medication directly to our house when it was ready!! My mind was blown, I have never heard of a pharmacy doing that. Cherry on top was when I was informed that there was a tiny bit extra meds in the bottle because with pets you often spill or lose a bit in administering. We dealt with a few different staff members in this time and all of them were so incredibly accomodating. I will be looking into transferring all my prescriptions (human and pet) here in the near future.
