The selection of donuts and kolaches was hole-y impressive. All the classics were there, fresh and tempting--I ended up grabbing a baker's dozen (purely for "research," of course). The kolaches were solid too, holding their own against Houston's usual quick stops. The storefront is shiny and new, conveniently attached to a gas station. Don't let that deter you--these donuts will fuel you better than premium unleaded, especially when you need a sugar rush to survive rush hour. If you're on the go and looking for a sweet little pit stop, Danny Donuts is a cruller above the rest. One heads-up: the team had to double-check the milk expiration dates. I grabbed one for the road that might've been riding the expiration line... No stomach issues yet, so I'll call it a win (and maybe bring my own next time). I asked for 4 small bags of donut holes and the manager at the drive thru affirms the order. So I thought it was a little odd that the amount was higher. So I didn't think much of it till later in the day and that's when I called. The same girl answers the phone and starts arguing about what I ordered and thats what I told her, there is a big difference in the way large and small come out of person's mouth and don't understand how she got that wrong. On top of this she did not give me a receipt and there is an upcharge everytime you use a card. This is ridiculous and I will never return here. The "manager" needs to learn how to listen to what the guest is saying.

She slammed the microwave door to show her frustration and foul mouthed me and my partner as we said we weren't coming back due to the bad service given. She was an older Hispanic woman and I don't believe people should be treated that way especially when we were very respectful and had never even been here before. Just because you are having a bad day does not mean it is okay to take your frustration out on customers who you have never even met before.

I pulled up on a Sunday morning after church and there were older gentleman hanging out in the front. Maybe some of Danny's pals. It seemed like it's a regular hang out spot for them. I walked in and Danny ( I presume) was super welcoming. He was patient with me as I took my time to make my selections. I was hoping to get an iced cinnamon roll so it took me a minute to redirect myself to something else. I got a non iced cinnamon roll and omg, the most delicious croissant bread pudding! So this is kinda gross, lol but it fell through the bag on my kitchen floor the next day when I ate it. I quickly scooped it up and am so glad my floor was clean and that I didn't throw it out. It was so good! And what a cool combo, croissant/bread pudding. It's a definite must try and for sure something I'd order again. Danny's Donuts were soft and delicious.
