The gal was on the phone, the guy stuttered for a long seconds with "uhhhhhhhh.....it starts at $35". I asked him why does it costs less than an oil change, the stated price on the sign board, in their shop, for $30. He said: that's inside. I said: What's the difference between inside and outside? He replies: well...that's the advertised price inside, in the event that we run a special. Normally, an oil change costs $70. Really? They're in the business of slashing 60% off? Terrible liar. After sensing a complete bait-n-switch with a flavor ful of up-pricing, I just leave. How hard is it to move 2 tires from the back to the front, and vice versa? And, for $35? Ha! I decided upon North Star Car Wash (about 25 minutes from home) because of the 12 reviews/ all 5 stars/ emphasis upon " great thorough hand wash" and "great value ( Deluxe wash $20)". 1.Right off 694 and not far from 35W. VERY easy commute. 2. Appears like a small family Hispanic operation of EXTREMELY hard hard fast thorough workers 3. Starts with a high pressure soap blaster handled by the female owner along with a fellow furiously scrubbing the car with a long handled soap dispensing 12 inch wide brush. 4. You remain in the car Neutral, and the top massive huge moving brush/ mop ( with wide thick fabric pieces) most thoroughly scrubs the car top and top sides ( rare in car washes) while side brushes simultaneously hit the car sides. Very GOOD scrub. 5. Next I liked the thorough rinse then the MANY powerful air blasters ( more than normal) drying the car 6. Two fellows at the end RAPIDLY and so thoroughly hand wiped the car dry. 7. I was MOST thrilled by the TOP quality rare beautiful wax shine on my car. With a black car, I have always always sought out top quality wax for my car. Very excellent!! The entire staff kept up a consistent very high level of intense energy/ super hard efforts working on my car. They definitely go home each night wiped out! Where they DID wipe, they just spread it around a little and didn't completely wipe any of the areas, and some areas had excessive protectant dripping or puddled. When I got home, I had to add more protectant in some areas but completely wipe ALL areas. Interior windows were a smeared mess! Had to redo all of them also. My speedometer glass was all smeared with product, too. Very poor job and they raised the price! Will NOT return ... waste of money.

Unlimited washes with a membership which I believe is $30. Just for a lower gas price I would need to fill up 3-4 times a month and get 2 car washes a month to pay for the membership. It's never busy so I'm wondering if nobody is joining. They offered 3 free months but June 1st, they will charge $30. I might not be worth it for me.

The car wash was hands down the best "gas station" carwash I've been through in the area! You get unlimited washes if you're a member. They also have gas, which was around 2.60, and my normal pump is at $3.30 right now, so that's crazy! Friendly staff too. I asked to get it fixed was told that I had to go to their shop Collison Corner, in Maple Plaine. The disaster began when I took it to their repair shop were they clearly were not qualified, and painted it, stripped it and repainted it again. They gave me the car back 3 times being multiple colors. It took 6 weeks for them to give me a garbage paint job. It literally opened and cracked all over the side panels, hood, door panels. I spent months trying to work with John O'Sullivan, who owns the gas station, who just stopped answering, his friend Curt the owner of Collison would not take my calls, after promising to fix it for months. Curts front desk lady told me stop calling he is not going to bother calling you back nor will he fix it.I have pictures taken before, during and after from the Lexus dealership. I also have emails and photos of all the errors Collison Corners made. It is over $8,000 to repair at the dealership that actually knows what they are doing, and neither business will fix my car. They will not reply or answer calls and have left my car a disaster. I live in the neighborhood will go anywhere but these Holidays or Collison Corner. SKIP
