After raising the monthly rate on my 91 year old mom by $55 a month, yes, raising it up to $145 per month plus other fees, Pablo's has the audacity to not do the agreed upon work. Mind you, it's winter, and there's only a little lawn area in front yard, and it gets mowed every week and it's full of weeds! They are strictly a blow and go type service, but they blow all the dead leaves under the bushes before they go! The plants are smothered with dead leaves! My moms backyard has a large concrete patio and fake putting green, so there's no lawn and nothing to maintain except blowing leaves, yet they can't even do that! This is a typical tract home lot, not a big lot! So after today's visit, where I informed him of the items that needed attention, previously, it still didn't get done. The 2 guys didn't speak English, so a 3rd guy arrived later to discuss. I showed him what needed to be done, and showed him all plants covered in dead leaves, the near dead big bush in front yard, the overgrown jasmine that hadn't been trimmed in months, and guess what? None of it got done! Well, they did cut some of the big dead bush but once they filled the greens bin, that was it. When I contacted Raul Pablo, he said they could come back and finish up for an additional fee! Seriously? Firing him was one of my happiest moments. He took advantage of my 91 year old mom and that's not acceptable. There's too many choices! Don't let loyalty get in the way of good, reputable service. Trust me, this isn't sour grapes, this has gone on for years, and just knowing he won't be stealing money from my mom any longer gives me hope and satisfaction. Thank you for letting me share. Our carpet in four rooms was around $35 per room which is not bad at all! Bertha Pablo (the owner) was our point of contact and she was very honest and nice to work with. I hired Carlos Hernandez to fix a sprinkler system leak in the front yard and check for leaks in…read morethe back yard. From the very beginning I informed that this was a rental property that my sister and I have recently inherited from our late mother. I explained that his company was recommended to us by the Property Management Company we use for this property, and that while my sister lives in town, I live 160 miles away and am in charge of arranging repairs and maintenance. His fee for the repairs was reasonable and he was quick to do the repairs. He received payment in full two weeks before the 30 day due date. So far So Good, Right? Wrong. I also explained to Carlos that we were on a very tight budget right now - the sprinklers are old and need to be replaced - we just cannot afford to do that right now. I asked him if he would provide front and back yard care once a week, including hand watering the lawn, until we are able to get the property rented. He quoted me a monthly rate of $100.00 and understood that this was a temporary situation. He said he would be happy to start the first week of July 2012. THAT was the last I ever heard from him. I emailed him on 7/09/2012 and also called him to check in and see how things were going. He has not returned ANY of my email messages or my phone calls. The next week, my sister arrived at the property to find our front lawn dead, and a large, thriving Lilac bush, and a small, struggling Dogwood Tree in the front entry planter completely dead. Until this happened, I was willing to give him 5 stars on yelp. Unfortunately, Carlos Hernandez, Owner of Advanced Landscape Management in Visalia, CA IS NOT someone I can recommend. All he had to do is call me back, explain that he could not provide the service after all, and I could have easily found someone else to do the job. Because he did not do the right and professional thing, we now have even more expenses to incur before we will be able to rent this property.
