My almost two year old talks about his teacher Ms. Ally all the time and loves all his teachers so much! Both teachers and the school admin team are warm, friendly and always accommodating. The school provides snacks and lunch which saves me a ton of prep time at home and have several additional enrichment classes that are all included in the cost. Also, the playgrounds are BEAUTIFUL and so much FUN. They even take the kids out in the winter which I feel like rarely happened where we went previously. I highly recommend this school!

I am grateful every day that we found a spot at Learn & Play, back when our son was an infant. It…read morewas so hard to drop him off, but the infant-room teachers were so kind and compassionate that I felt completely secure leaving him in their capable hands. They gave him so much love--and they gave this new mama lots of grace. With each classroom, we have watched our child thrive and grow, learning so much, making friends, and having loads of fun. I'm always amazed by the teachers' creativity and the projects the kids bring home. The rooms are also bright and cheerful with lots of light, and the overall environment is both calm and joyful. The new director, Erika, continues to bring about wonderful changes--more outdoor time, lots of creativity, and excellent communication with parents. My heart is already heavy, knowing that it's our last year, now that our son is in pre-K. I will miss it so much and highly recommend this special place--it's so much more than a school or daycare. It really feels like family.

We went into this place thinking this was the best choice for our child seeing it is not for profit…read moreand seemingly loving teachers. What went wrong was the apparent lack of training for the teachers and very much incompetent director. A few months after we have enrolled, 1/4 of the staff quit. So we began this reduced hours since then and no end in sight. There are a lot of little things that added up into bigger things, to the point that we felt we can no longer trust her to have our child's best interest in mind. If your child is a toddler, make sure he or she is perfectly behaved otherwise you will get endless incident reports and get a sit down talk to come up with a plan for 30 days, just to get an email a week later on a Saturday and threatened to be dismissed. Maybe the board of directors will do something about this as we had a meeting with one of the members. But in the meantime go at your own risk.

We just moved into the area with no family or knowledge of the community. Some of the most important things I looked for in a child care center was the hands on activities, outside play areas and the teachers involvement in their development. I have not been disappointed! The amount of diverse cultures they learn from their teachers and the little walks to the center of town have been a huge bonus! The hard thing is my baby girl is growing up way too fast I'll have to handle another transition faster than I'd like. But that's life!

In some regards, this is not a bad YMCA, and I left some important stuff here (cellphone, Anker charger), and they saved it for me which was great, and saved me a lot of money and stress. I was able to go back and get it late at night, even when they were supposed to be closed. They didn't have any problem letting me in at closing time, and were pretty friendly about that. And pretty friendly in general. On the other hand some of the equipment is really old and several of us got kicked out when the section that we were using was needed for a class - and this kind of thing is a big No-No when you're paying members - so I'll give it a 4 but it could have easily gotten at 3 if they weren't so great about the stuff I left behind.

Every time I go to the center the owner is there that makes me feel so good about leaving my child there when the owner is there that shows me that she is serious about her work and she loves what she does and she's proud. They are also so willing to work with parents on their days . I had a family emergency and needed the center to take my child during certain days because as a nurse my days are already scheduled out six weeks in advance and I had no one else to watch my son because I am a single mother they had no problem helping me and my son has just started those are the kind of people you want watching your child the ones who actually care about children they could have said no and sent me on my way but they didn't. The center is clean they are proficient they are kind they help with potty training they have a hair dresser come in once a month to help cut kids hair because hair cuts aren't always the easiest things for two year olds. My son is socializing with other children . They have a full kitchen and a cook who makes the children's food fresh i mean really what more can a parent ask for . I love this center and would recommend it to any family I live about 20 minutes away and I wouldn't change going to this care center for any center that was closer to me. After reading the review below me I was appalled because those are not the ladies that are at the center the ladies I deal with are professional they are kind I hope that this review helps other parents when looking for a center for this child .

Our experience at Precious Memories Preschool of Sandy Hollow was very short lived. Less than 15…read moreminutes if were being honest. We brought our two-year-old son into their facility for his first day. He was very excited to start his first day and ran right to the classroom we were told he was to be assigned to from our previous visit. The owner of the facility told us that we are not welcome back due to him not being compliant. He did not listen to her when we first got to the center (shocker he is a two-year-old that was there for less than 15 minutes and overly excited) and when he fell out of his chair he cried and ran for us because he was scared (crazy how he ran to his parents to console him...). Those two reasons were enough for the owner to justify that we are not welcome back and our two-year-old is just not going to be a good fit. I'm not sure as to what they expect out of a two-year-old, when this is normal and age-appropriate behavior. But apparently our two-year-old was a safety issue as well. Regarding how they allow their doors to the classroom be unlocked for the children to open them without a gate which in my opinion, is a safety issue for the children. However, I warn any parents who are looking at this center to be wary. Even the staff apologized on account of the owner and were unsure as to what happened. Very unhappy and ashamed that I even thought this establishment would be kind to my child.
