Meghan was very helpful! She had all kinds of good advice on colour choices, told us about the BOGO…read moresale, and found comparable colours on the computer. This was our second stop after the hardware store, and we wanted to compare other paint stores, so she advised us that her sale goes another week, and that this company can mix Benjamin Moore colours as well (the competition!!) So we took a jaunt over to the competition. More expensive, less customer service, but they had the colour we wanted! So, took the colour swatch to mull it over, over brunch to decide. And we chose to go back here! Now to apply the paint and see if it lives up to expectations.

What a disappointment…read more I came here to pick out a paint color for my front door due to many recommendations (I originally just wanted to hit up Home Depot / Rona) but instead gave Sherwin Williams a shot. Upon entering the store there was only one customer in there. We were not greeted, so we just looked around a the paint swatches, chose one and went up to the desk to inquire about getting a bucket of this stuff. Everything sounded promising, and we got great advice, unfortunately that is where it ended. I guess something happened to the mixing machine and when the associate went to mix our paint, the paint overflowed from the paint can. A lot of technical terms were used so we left our number and went for coffee in hopes that it would be ready by the time we were finished ... We never got a phone call. Its 5:30 now and they are closed. Total disappointment and so much confusion for a can of paint. :(

I'm glad I took a picture of this place so at least I have proof that the place exists. Outside of its inability to be found in any Google search that I've tried, once you step into @Home, you're in for a decent time. @Home is a kitchenware store with a large assortment of different items that you can use in the kitchen or dining area. The items range from the strictly utilitarian (e.g., spring form pans - nothing fancy there) to the imaginative (e.g., elegantly shaped wine decanters). If you're looking for some interesting décor add-ons for your kitchen, or looking for something to theme your next party, this is probably a good place to start. It's not just the variety, but the quantity of items that is also overwhelming. There's tons of stuff that you can go through and, if you're so inclined, it's pretty easy to kill a half an hour in this little shop. Add to this it is an independent store and not a larger chain, so if you're into helping out the smaller business, this is a great store for you. Just don't try to Google your way there. Just get to Earl Grey Drive and look for the place in the picture.
