I've been sick twice now and both times I was blown off and told if I'm not feeling better in a week and they have an appointment they will see me. A week? Or I can always go to an urgent care. Really, that's how an established patient since 2007 is treated When the call their supposed primary doctor. Needless to say I won't ever be contacting them again. Time for a new doctor.

Luckily there was no one else in the office so that was a plus. I will mention he, Werthaim, said for me to see my primary doctor (FYI I don't actually have a primary doctor) or see a dermatologist. Whatever, but that's not what upset me. He recommended some blood tests and at this point I reminded him that I have a phobia of blood tests as a result of a poisoned appendix when I was a child. I would have liked a cream or something. He then starting posturing to me that he has 35 years of experience and that if I was going to question him that he other patients to take care of. When she was suddenly…read morehospitalized and the hospital was trying to get her medical records from Dr. Lara's office, they were unable to as the doctor's office was completely closed for over a week due to Dr. Lara attending a conference. Patients were not even referred to another doctor if they needed care-- just an urgent care clinic. And no one was in the office to access medical records. This is not standard procedure for physicians, especially for planned events like a conference-- they should have office staff available to deal with situations like this. Even after she was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and seeing specialists, she never got a single call from Dr. Lara's office checking in to see how she was doing, even though the specialists and hospitals were sending all their reports to Dr. Lara. Finally, I just called them now two weeks after her death just to let them know she died for their records, and they just said "okay"-- not even a feeble attempt at a condolence or even a thank you for me going out of their way to let them know.

We went to this place for our physicals. It was required for our immigration purpose. We made sure…read morethat our insurance covers everything and is in-network. The assistant seemed well-aware of it. So, we had the physicals. They drew blood for some checking. In fact, I had to do my X-ray (which I did from outside upon their advise). Up to this point, I thought it went well and everything is good. But, later after 4 months, I got bills from never heard Labs that I have to pay for the tests that were being performed. I came to know that this place sent all our tests to third party (out-of-network). The bill was around $700 which my insurance did not cover. My question is: why the assistance did not tell me that they sends the tests outside of the Network? She knows my insurance (Cigna) and I am sure there must be lots of other patience who comes from Cigna and must have argued same. So, what this absurd place gained by ruining us? We already pay a fortune to this insurance company and when we need it, we still need to pay? I simply, do not recommend this place or any place which makes other peoples life miserable. I wanted to give no star at all but Yelp did not let me choose.

I actually changed my health insurance this year so I could still use the practice, but since they were controlled by Hackensack Meridian, it has been awful. Me and my family have used Franklin Medical since Dr Gendy first opened. I have called several times, being sick and needing to be seen and I can never get to see him Mona or anyone else in the practice. Today my son had to go to the hospital because they were unable to make any allowances to see him. If this is a family practice, there should be some room to make allowances. This is not the first time this has happened. The health care system is really lacking since these big Medical conglomerates have taken over. Im sorry to write such negative remarks, but if the practice is not aware they will be losing many of their patients.
