After hours of unsuccessful searching, my partner contacted Nicola at 6pm the evening before my event. Nicola committed to fitting me into her schedule the very next day and was willing to meet me at my hotel. I have a lot of skin discoloration these days and was a bit skeptical that Nicola would have the right makeup shades to suit my face. I was pleasantly surprised when she came with an entire suitcase of makeup that would accommodate my complexion, along with her own makeup chair and ring light. I wanted my makeup to look light and not heavy and she managed to do just that. Her level of professionalism was top notch. She kept me entertained with great conversation while painting my face to perfection. I honestly don't know how Nicola managed to be so efficient and fixed me up in under an hour. A non-refundable deposit is required to book an appointment, which should've gave me a red flag at first. My schedule is constantly changing and I tend to either make last minute appointments or have to move my original appointment around when it comes to getting beauty services done. There is nothing on my braid girl's (Tee) reservation page that says "no less than 24 hour requests accepted", so I made a reservation request 24 hours before and paid the deposit. The following day (the day of the appointment), I get a text from Tee saying I need to move my appointment to another day, which wasn't possible because I was leaving to go to a wedding out of town the next day. After sticking up for myself and mentioning there is nothing on her website saying you can't make appointments 24 hours or less in advance, she proceeds to tell me I will not be receiving a refund if I cannot move my appointment and choose to cancel instead. These are extremely poor customer service practices that I choose not to keep giving business to. What a shame. I'm so happy I found Dollhouse Factoryy! It's awesome to find a salon that focuses on ethnic hair care that is also a nice place inside full of talented stylists. Tee did a quick and great job on my feed-in braids. I'll definitely be going to her again. They also have different stylists for weaves, hair extensions, make up and nails inside too, it's a one stop shop!

I traveled from out of town for an event I was hosting in Orlando. All of my questions were answered via text, which is fine until a misunderstanding took place. Though the artist communicated her requirements and travel fees, I apparently did not understand the travel fees in the way in which they were conveyed. This resulted in the artist canceling my service the night before as well as providing me a full refund. And also telling me that she hopes I find someone who better suits my needs. How was I suppose to find someone to better suit my needs being an out of town guest with an event taking place in less than 18 hours of my event? Though a full refund was provided a phone call in my opinion should have been made to clear all matters. Or a referral to other make up artists within the area would have been a more suitable option. I understand we are in a technologically advanced era and many businesses within the beauty industry want you to refer to their style seat pages, however all information is not listed and there are questions and or clarification that some customers will need that is not stated on the website. All in all I was extremely disappointed in how the appointment was cancelled, the fact that it was cancelled as well as being left hung to dry without a makeup artist at the last minute. It was extremely discouraging and baffling indeed.
