Not sure why people are freaking out about having to pay to see a specialist or put a card on file....... It is precautionary for the business as people will schedule and not show for their appts, regularly. Dermatologists notoriously take months to get in to see. If someone no shows most people waiting to get in cannot drop everything & come in... I require a form of payment on file for new clients or clients who are inconsistent as a salon owner b/c there is a cost to do business even if someone doesn't show. Idk. Maybe I'm insensitive *shrugs. Anyway, I've been in at least 3 times for various skin concerns, and the staff have all been helpful, kind, and communicative. I also love the clean, well-designed office, and it helps that it is close to the Highway/many other businesses I frequent.

He is willing to spend as much time as you need in order for you to understand your treatment and so that you're well informed. In office procedures are usually petty quick. I realized I could also see a dermatologist for help, and possibly sooner. When I called on my referral, I was able to be scheduled for the very next morning. I got an email from Tara (who was wonderful btw) with thorough instruction, and paperwork to pre-fill out (which helps someone on 15 medications!) The office is beautiful, and so clean. Check in was a breeze, I literally waited under 5 minutes. I saw PA Nhung Pham, and she listened to me!! She didn't medically gaslight me (which is common) , she understood the problem fully, and gave me the best treatment plan I have ever had to help manage my symptoms. I was prescribed a new medication, they handled all the insurance, and she even suggested and got the forms ready, just in case, for a financial assistance program in case my insurance denied it. Most drs office do not take that on, they expect sick lay people to navigate it themselves. Every single person I came in contact with was friendly, helpful, and professional. I have actually never seen a drs office run more efficiently and smoothly. I really cannot say enough good things or convey how impressed I was with LAM DERMATOLOGY. I am sincerely thankful to be in the care of people who care! 10/10 recommend.

During the visit, Dr. Lam interrupted and talked over me multiple times, which made it difficult to fully explain what I was experiencing. I also found the nurse's demeanor to be unwelcoming. She handled several phone calls regarding my care, and during those interactions she came across as short-tempered and unfriendly. I understand that medical offices are busy, and I respect that providers have demanding schedules. However, when patients are paying for professional medical care, they should feel listened to, respected, and valued not like they're being rushed through an appointment. Unfortunately, both my in person visit, and my phone interactions left me feeling more like a transaction than a patient.
